“Good location - low quality of service”
Although there was nothing horrible about the hotel (e.g., roaches, theft) I would rather pay more for higher quality of service.
Positive Feedback: free wireless, located across the street from the Mediterranean, surrounded by free parking (from 2000-0800) and restaurants, decent sized room, and .5 miles from Las Ramblas street.
Negative Feedback: we paid extra for a view which was complet
ely blocked by a tree, the bathroom door didn't have an actual doorknob instead it had a knob for a kitchen cabinet which didn't allow you to shut the door and it constantly swung open, we used a glass in the bathroom on the first day that they never took out of the room or replaced, when we ran out of toiletries they didn't replace them so I had to go into the supply closet and get soap and shampoo, it was extremely noisy at night due to street noise and bad insulation between the rooms, the flat screen TV was 19" if that and it was hanging on the wall to the left of the bed making it difficult to see (even though I had Lasik), the temperature control didn't work, the in-room music didn't work, if you opened the balcony door or bathroom window the other would slam shut not allowing you to get ventilation, we asked for a King and got two twin beds pushed together, the bed was uncomfortable, the continental breakfast in the morning was $9 Euros which wasn't worth the price considering what was offered, and none of the hotel bars were open including the rooftop lounge.
