“Nice little hotel in a perfect location! I'll be back!”

Located right off the busy street of La Rambla, location is great because you're never far from anything! walk one direction you're headed towards the beach and walk the other direction you're headed towards the city. It's also very close to the market where we went through and found fresh fruit and other delicious food for breakfast to start our days. Although it was hard for us to find it at first since it's on a smaller street, once you know where it is, it's perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice. Good price! We actually ended up extending our stay! Loved it.

“Great Location,pity about the noise!”

This 21 bed new hotel is just of La Rambla and 2 minutes from the nearest metro. It is within easy walking distance of many of the main sights. The hotel is clean, modern, however, there are no bar or restaurant facilities except a small breakfast area. It is on a pedestrianised side street, with shops, restaurants and a lovely just adjacent. The only drawback is that there is no double glazing so the noise at night from revellers returning home can be irritating if you are a light sleeper! Great place for a short break, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean.

“Location, location, location!”

We stayed at the Hotel Atlas in Oct 2008. It is a newly-renovated small hotel just steps from the Ramblas and close to several tapas bars and cafes off the Ramblas, so they are less expensive. Our room was updated and pleasant; the bathroom was contemporary and clean. The included breakfast was basic and adequate. Unfortunately some of the baked goods were factory-made and cellophane-wrapped; such a shame with so many fine bakeries so close! The coffee machine was great as it gave several choices for freshly-ground coffee and steamed milk and hot water for tea. The staff were friendly, patient and helpful (Hi Z!)and spoke very good English. The underground parking is next door but it has a maximum height restriction on the cars. They also have a parking spot for a taller car about 10 - 15 minutes walk away. Their rates are about 2/3 of the public underground parks. If you drive to this hotel, make sure you get VERY clear directions beforehand; it's not easy to get to because of the many pedestrian-only and one-way streets in this very old part of the city. Even our GPS was fooled.

“Best location, friendly stuff”

We stayed at Hotel Atlas for 3 nights with my boyfriend. The location of the hotel was perfect; 1 minute to Las Ramblas, 10 minutes to Port Veill and 2 minutes to the metro station. The hotel staff was very friendly, they all spoke English and tried to be helpful about everything related to our trip from good restaurants to the best shopping places. The rooms were ok. Bathroom was quiet clean and the beds were comfortable. They also served breakfast, which is ok, but if you prefer to eat outside there are lots of cafeterias outside the hotel.

“Convenient city hotel”

The hotel was in a great location. It was very clean with modern ensuite and a good shower. The room was very small which didn't matter for a short break. There was a slight problem because we had booked a twin room for our teenage boys and it turned out to be a double with no other rooms avaialable. A mattress was supplied and they swapped rooms the next day. In general the hotel suited all our needs and I would recommend it because it was convenient and clean

“Central location”

The hotel has been recently renovated and is very modern. Very central location, about 2 minutes from La Ramblas and well situated in the gothic quarter. Due to the central location, the hotel is subject to outside noise but if you want to be central than that is the trade off. Excellent hotel will stay there again.

“Better than expected”

It was more than we had anticipated, the only but, is the Air conditioning in the rooms. Breakfast was incredible........great the best in europe.

It can't get more well-positioned than this. The room was Europe-tiny as expected, but clean and comfortable, air conditioned. Wireless internet worked so-so, and breakfast can be safely skipped for much better fare outside.

The hotel is located just of the Ramblas and a quarter block from the Metro. There are several great and decently priced eateries nearby- Travel Bar for lunch or dinner outdoors is not tbe missed for their 12 Euro Sangria Pitchers and 6 Euro burgers. The hotel is clean and modern. Rooms are decently sized and AC is strong, though ours stopped at about 4am...not sure what happened. We checked out a few hours later and in our rush to make flights forget to mention this to management. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a good value for Barcelona. It's worth noting that rooms requesting a Queen or Double bed will have two twin beds attached. This made for interesting sleeping for my fiance and I!
