Good local cafes and restaurants, sensible prices

Cons: Its just one of my things but the some of the shower tiles could do with re-grouting,
Good value for money. close enough to town centre without the high prices.

Basic 3-star hotel -they have apartments, too!

Posted Jan 4, 2012
Pros: The staff -really helpful.
Cons: Twin beds.
Location: With hindsight we should have simply stayed more cheaply and pleasantly in Girona and travelled into Barcelona by train as required.
We were surprised by this hotel as we had booked a double bed room and got instead an apartment split in two floors connected by a spiral starcase, with a small kitchen (with a stove) but with twin beds. Reception is very friendly and showed great flexibility at allowing us to change our booking at very short notice and no charge. The location near Plaza de Espanya doesn't make any sense unless you are really interested in the Magic Fountain or have something to do on the Barcelona trade fairs. Possibly overpriced for a cramped functional 3-star hotel, but Barcelona is an expensive city nowadays.
