Cheap clean efficient. Excellent location.

Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: Mainly it's location near the better part of town if that's what you want but also near the more 'earthy' side too.
Cons: Nothing. Even had lockers to store luggage on the last day while we wandered. Picked it up when we were ready.
Location: Loads to do. Long weekend. Not enough. Guell's palace just a short walk. Picasso gallery a walk away as was port and Catalunya square.
Excellent location just off Las Ramblas. Efficient reception and very helpful.

Pros: the staff and the location
Cons: mmmm lots
Location: great central location and near metro sattions
there were a number of positives the location very close to the ramblas and metro stations the staff and the cleanliness but the basicness of the room was incredible with as an example not one plug outlet in the room and a refurbished prison cell feel was much more hostel that hotel it interestingly had a small tv fixed high on a wall to the ceeling but no remote control ?, but also would mention that the area was rather seedy but felt safe

Cons: noise of people when the nite lite is over doors too loud when people close their dooors
Location: Location great!!!

I wont live here again

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pretty empty room with only bed and a chair. It would be much more comfortable if there were a table and a table lamp. The power outlet is at a very awkward location, hard to reach. The closet is shabby and smells. The included breakfast is really minimal. I regret i didnt spend €20 more for a better hotel.

Basic but fine. Good location and friendly staff.

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Hotel is basic but ok. There was a tv and a safe in the room but no other facilities eg no hairdrier, kettle, fridge etc. The staff, however, were lovely, they were all super friendly and helpful. The location is very good too, it's on a quiet street off the Ramblas. It is therefore quiet but very central. I was a woman travelling on my own and felt safe walking back although I used the next street along at night (Nou de las ramblas) as it was busier to walk along. Room was cleaned well each day and the bed was comfy so overall very basic but ok hotel in a good, quiet, very location with lovely staff. Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that but cheap restaurants round the corner on Rambla de Ravel. They charge quite a lot for wifi but it works fine. You can get free wifi in most restaurants though so it's not too much of a problem.

Excellent location to see all the best sights!

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Location, friendliness of staff.
Situated on the corner of Las Ramblas, the hotel is in an excellent location for sightseeing with the beach in one direction and the centre of the city in the other. The triple room we shared was clean and comfortable with a shuttered window looking out onto a quaint street. Excellent value for money with breakfast included and lovely staff who were only too willing to give advice to first-time visitors to Barcelona.

Hotel Barbara- ok

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, good location
Cons: Larger rooms, but that would be somewhat difficult to achieve!
Location: Plenty of city centre locations near by, plus easy access to metro/bus to go further afield
This was an ok hotel close to Las Rablas and the city centre in general- not a great hotel as the room was very small with not much space, but this was fine for me as I only needed somewhere to sleep and leave my stuff during the day. There was a safe available in the room. The breakfast was limited, but came with the room, the staff were friendly, and the hotel itself was clean. Not the best, but overall was what I was looking for and I am satisfied by my experience.

Good Location

Posted Jul 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel location is excellent. There is cheap bike hire on the same street. Very central to what you want to see. Great food a 5 min walk away. The shower is terrible and the room not very comfortable. The hotel was very loud i.e. the lift mechanics and the surrounding neighbourhood. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

GREAT LOCATION

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: LOCATION, PRICE, HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY STAFF. CLEAN ROOMS, BEDS AND FACILITIES. EASY TO FIND.
Cons: NEW WINDOWS TO CLOSE TIGHT SO IT WILL BE QUIETER AT NIGHT AND IN THE MORNINGS
Location: IDEAL LOCATION FOR LA RAMBLAS, THE HARBOR, DINNING, KFC AND MACDONALDS AT THE END OF THE ROAD,AND PLENTY OF LOCAL RESTAURANTS OR SMALL CAFE BARS.
A GREAT BUDGET HOTEL JUST 5-10 MINS WALK TO LA RAMBLAS. NICE LITTLE FRIENDLY BAR ON THE CORNER MAKES A HANDY MEETING PLACE BEFORE GOING INTO THE CITY. THERE WAS 12 OF US TO ORGANIZE! THE NO FRILLS ROOMS WERE CLEANED EVERY DAY WITH FRESH TOWELS, OUR TV DIDN'T WORK BUT WE WEREN'T IN THERE LONG SO IT NEVER BOTHERED US. BREAKFAST WAS OK, TOAST COFFEE OR TEA, JUICE AND A CROISSANT. IT WAS A BIT NOISY IN THE MORNINGS IF SOME GUESTS WERE UP VERY EARLY, SO CLOSE THE WINDOWS! WE'D ALL STAY THERE AGAIN. IF YOU WANT A CHEAP AND CHEERFUL HOTEL IN THE CITY CENTER THIS IS THE PLACE. GREAT FOR GROUPS OR COUPLES BUT I WOULDN'T TAKE CHILDREN THERE AS THE LOCAL 'LADIES' GATHER IN THE SQUARE AND IT GETS NOISY AT NIGHT.
