Bare Bones HotelPosted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: The hotel clerks at the front desk. Internet access in the lobby was relatively cheap.
Cons: breakfast--boiled eggs would have been nice for protein.
I wasn't expecting much because it was cheap, relative to others in Barcelona. The room was barely big enough for the double bed. TV (Spanish only) was high on the wall near the ceiling and required a deposit to get the remote. Room had two windows on an air shaft, so there was no street noise. There was noise from other rooms on the air shaft. Shower head was small and mounted in the center of the ceiling over the tub. Breakfast was carbs only; no protein. Croissants, tea and coffee were great. The hotel clerks were some of the best I've encountered anywhere in the world. Extremely helpful and they spoke English. I would recommend the hotel to anyone on a tight budget. Located about four blocks from La Rambla, with a bus stop coming down La Rambla at the hotel's street. Very helpful. Metro line about three blocks away.

Not a good hotel, more like a dirty hostelPosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place is like a dirty hostel w a private bath, that has mold by the way. Neighboring call girls guard the entrance that you need to get buzzed to get in or out. Beds are old, squeaky, and mattress about 1 inch thick. You need to give them a deposit of 20€ for the remote...for all the batteries that have been stolen in the past. Continental breakfast = cafe + bread. Staff was not helpful except for buzzing you in to get in Positives: walking to everywhere, always had hot water.

Pay for what you getPosted Aug 19, 2013
The staff were friendly and the hotel is within easy walking distance to la rambla. The double room we had was no bigger than a shoe box although the bedding and bathroom were clean. The main downside is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear constant noise. Overall you pay for what you get.

Well positionedPosted Jul 19, 2013
Location: practically perfect
Excellent stay. Well positioned, no noise, but easy 200 yard walk to the Ramblas; Breakfast could have been better. Croissants should be hot or, at least, warm.

Perfect short stay for young peoplePosted Jul 16, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, proximity to city centre
Location: Right in the centre. 2 min walk to La Rambla, however 25 min walk to beach.
Basic hotel, excellent value for money, VERY close to city centre, ideal for a short break for young people. I was very satisfied with the hotel, particularly the cleaning ladies! Yes, there are prostitues around the corner, but they leave you alone after a while. Went with 8 boys 1 girl, perfect for what we wanted. Don't book if you're older or a family

Serviceable accommodations. Very noisy.Posted Jun 24, 2013
Pros: Convenient to Las Ramblas. Relatively inexpensive by Barcelona standards.
Cons: Free use of the lobby computer to check/verify travel arrangements and would be appreciated.
Location: Easy access to subway system, Las Ramblas, and many shops and restaurants. 10-15 minutes to Plaza Espana or Plaza Catalunya, 25 or so to the beach.
The hotel is in a central location only a few minutes walk from Las Ramblas but an in-town, congested location brings all the noise of an in-town, congested location. It is located adjacent to a small square with a good amount of foot traffic that doesn't die down until deep into the night so if you value peace and quiet this might not be the place for you. Accommodations are small and basic but not too bad. The room had several light switches but only one controlled the ceiling lights so the choice after sundown was either a fully lit room or no light at all. Not a convenient situation if one person wants to sleep and another does not... There is a fee for wifi internet access (seemingly common in Barcelona) but the hotel also charges for use of the lobby computer as well. A bare bones, basic hotel for those looking for an amenity free but convenient location to stash their bags and sleep.

Good ValuePosted Jun 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is about 5 minute walk from La Rambla which is great! Its probably not in the BEST part of town but we never felt unsafe or anything. Its very basic, room was tiny (just enough space for a bed really) but it was spotlessly clean and the aircon worked so we were very comfortable. For the price we paid it represents good value for a night or 2 but if you are staying in Barcelone longer I think the size of the room might become a problem. Breakfast was a Croissant and/or toast with coffee and/or juice so nothing fancy but good fuel for a morning of sight-seeing.

Ok for cheap hotel.Posted May 23, 2013
Cons: Smelly hallway and room
Location: Good, short walk to metro and near rumblers.
We really like the breakfast. Staff were very friendly. The rooms smelt like cigarettes. Hotel is generally run down.
