“Worth a look”

I must admit to '' a pin in the map '' when I booked this hotel. However We were overall very happy with our choice. It is fairly close to Castelldefel town centre, a 15 minute walk or the the bus. And approx 3/4 hour bus drive to Barcelona. The beach is also close at a 10 minute walk. The hotel location is quiet in a residential location. There are local shops but they are closer to the sea area. We actually found that the central shopping area of Castelldefel was better than Barcelona, which really is like any other city. Depends what you like I suppose. It is close to the airport so no problems there. Hotel appears to have been re opened, but as a 3 star it is excellent. The hotel menus are buffet and are more cost effective than eating out at local restaurants which is very expensive. There is an excellent Chinese restaurant near the beach which I highly recommend..

“Happy experience”

We loved our stay in hostel canal olimpic. We had rented a car at the airport. Driving to the hotel was really easy as there are many signs directing to castelldelfel and to the hotel as well. The hotel is about a 25 minutes drive outside of Barcelona. From the airport it is about 15 minutes drive (in opposite direction to Barcelona). There are good restaurants and nice beaches in Castelldefell about 3 minutes drive from the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant MiraVos. At the hotel we did not have dinner or lunch, only breakfast. It was okay but did not have lots of options apart from cold meats, bread, milk and juices, yogurts and fresh oranges.

very modern and clean hotel, delicious and affordable restaurant, short walk to beautiful beach, and very easy to get to city centre barcelona by bus. Very impressed and would stay again.

“My favorite Hotel in Casteldefells, I'll keep on staying there at all times.”

I love the location in a very residential area, not too far from shopping center, train station. 15-20 min walt if you prefer. but you can also take bus L94, L95 which stops only 1 block away. These buses will take you to Plaza Catalunya for an unbelievable fare; not to say that L99 will take you to the airport for the same fare, but you need to take either one of the other 2 lines from the hotel and ride for about 2 stops, I defenitelly recommend this hotel if you don mind being away from Barcelona, but closer to the Airport. Very nice staff.

The hotel was beautiful the rooms were very modern clean and comfortable with maid service everyday. The swimming pool area was sufficient but not enough sunbeds their for everyone so get their early. The only problem with the hotel is that it is a way from the main restaurants and bars which are in the town centre and the restaurant in the hotel only has a limited menu which is all in spanish no English translation. But over all our stay at the hotel was relaxing which is what we set out for.

“The Barcelona Birhda Surprise!”

i decided to plan a suprise trip for my girlfriends 21s birthday, and this hotel looked ideal. a little further out of las ramblas but in a beautiful location. She as ever was ver hapily suprised. We set flight from liverpool airport and soon arrived at our new home for the week, the area initialy looked qite residential, but further in its a new sporting based facilty with alot of prive land and homes. Its right next to a beautiful beach, and our hotel was picture perfect just as id hoped! The staff were very friendly and atentive, speaking great english! We ventured out and son found the local casteldefells station (thanks to our hotel staff pointing out) was just a 15minute walk away, rather than reviews we had read stating a longer journey. The local town casteldefels is realy nice, with every shop you could dream of, the loca supermarket is within here, and rather busy even in mid february. We spent our week using the fantastic and easy to use metro and train service, costing as little as 3euros each a day there and back, which is fantastic! We vsited the nou camp, hard rock cafe and all the usual tourist sites aswel as to many clothes shops!! I couldnt fault the hotel one bit, it was clean, modern with quality decor, and every helpful staf. I have and will reccomend this to others and hope maybe for a return visit! thanks for making my girlfriends suprise 21st everything it could be, as i had hoped! perfect ***** matthew

“Great holiday”

Lovely hotel. Staff, service & cleanliness excellent; location not great - 15mins walk to beach, 25mins walk to Castelldefels town. (We never did find the bus stop that was supposed to be close by!). But taxis were relatively cheap and reliable and the train service from Castelldefels to Barcelona was brilliant and cheap. Breakfast satisfactory, dinner - not much choice and it was never hot!

“Great Hotel, for a Very Good Price. Do Recommend.”

Myself and my wife were on a honeymoon from Canada and stayed at Hotel Canal Olimpic for 3 days Sep.16,2009. Definately recommend it if you want to save some money and stay in a decent hotel. Few Quick Points: 1) Concierge - 24/7 & spoke well English. 2) Free Parking. 3) Clean, quite spacious with A/C rooms. 4) We rented a car and this Hotel is about 15 min. away from DownTown/Center almost any time of the day. 5) In close proximity to the beach (Recommend- by car 5min.) 6) Breakfast is worth it too for a good price. Nothing special, but very convenient & will get you full. Good Luck! NT

I loved. I am going back to Barcelona and may be I would go back to Canal Olympic. Room are confortable. The standard of cleaning are outstanding. I had never seen hotel in US as clean as this hotel. Staff were very very helpfull and friendly. They gave us information and they tried to help us all the time.
