The location is the only thing good about this place. We stayed in a hostel for a few days before moving here and were looking forward to a more comfortable room. Unfortunately, the hostel was cheaper and nicer in almost every way. The hotel did not have consistent hot water and the water pressure was pretty terrible. They required guests to leave the room key in the lobby every time we left. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had a decent system for this, but they don't. We had to wait in line behind people checking in and checking out each time. When it was time to check out, we asked them to call a cab that accepted VISA (knowing from the airport that not all cabs were equipped with credit card machines). The cabbie that came to pick us up had not been informed that we needed a cab that accepted cards and did not have the equipment necessary for processing credit cards. Luckily, our driver was very kind and agreed to forgive two Euros (our fare was 39 and we only had 37 left).

Not a good hotelPosted Dec 11, 2013
This hotel was in a good area, but the pillows were really hard the bed was really little and hard! They did not provide body soap or hand/body lotion or conditioner. They only provided some cheap shampoo that was not good AT all. The building was really loud all the time to the point one could not sleep. I did not have a good night sleep there. I had traveled with two of my friends who were staying at a different hotel and I ended up spending a few nights with them due to the hotel being to uncomfortable. I had purchase water from them because they would not offer free water!!! Not impress with the hotel at ALL!!;((

2 minutes walking to Las RamblasPosted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: Location location location, I would stay there again just because of this.
Cons: Closets could be bigger and a minifridge would be very useful.
Location: Lots of shops in the street parallel to Las Ramblas, lot of places to eat, sight-seeing, location is great and unbeatable. Good value for the money.
It's a very basic hotel but the location is great, that's why we chose it. Very close to Plaza Cataluña, which is the center, you can get there in 10 minutes walking. There's a metro station almost in front of the street where the hotel is, it's called "Liceu". Very easy to move around to and from the hotel. La Boqueria market is right in front of the street. Las Ramblas is packed with stores with pretty much everything so you're close to everything. Be careful on the weekends because it's very noisy, we were in the 5th level and still could hear all the noise from the streets. It's not impossible to sleep just take your precautions if you have a hard time sleeping with noise. Room is very basic, we requested one queen bed and they gave us 2 twin instead but it worked.

Nice & ClosePosted Nov 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
A nice stay with helpful staff. Just a few steps off La Rambla & La Boqueria on a quiet side street. A good city stay for the price. I'd stay there again!

Excellent location for old town sights and Rambla.Posted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: The location and price. The hotel was good value for Barcelona which tends to be overpriced.
Cons: An electric kettle in the room for making early morning tea would be nice but is not the norm in Spain.
Location: Excellent location for walking to old town sights and eating out in the evening. Close to metro for Gaudi sights.
We booked the hotel for its location for a short break (4 days) in Barcelona at the end of October.. The trip was a great success, helped by unseasonally warm weather: day temperatures up to 28C, with crowds sunning on the Barcelona beach. The hotel was basic but quite sufficient for us. Clean rooms with OK bath and shower, comfortable beds and TV. Ask for rooms at the back if you want peace and quiet. Rooms at the front are disturbed by late drinkers and early morning raising of metal shutters and shop deliveries. Don't book breakfast in advance. There are good croisants, coffee, hot chocolate and freshly squeezed orange juice to be bought and consumed on the ground floor. A full English is available at the bar next door.

Good for a few daysPosted Nov 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Pretty small rooms and even smaller bathrooms but I guess that's what you get at these prices in Barcelona. No other problems and pretty decent otherwise.
