“Small room, but clean and close to sites”

Was solo traveler, so got single room. Room was very small with enough room for a double bed and a small stand. Once you got by that, was clean and comfortable. Located close to los Ramblas and La Boqueira and within walking distance of many sites. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Would stay again and recommend to others.

We had two rooms at Hotel Curious and were very pleased with everything about the hotel. The rooms were nice size and very clean. I thought the breakfast was good and had a nice variety. The staff was so nice and They went out of their way to be helpful. I am sure there were fancier places in town but this offered everything we needed . The location was also very good and within walking distance of a lot of things and also transportation. It was a good stay and we would stay again if we ever get back to Barcelona.

“Great Hotel in Barcelona”

the Hotel Curious was a wonderful place to stay! The staff was friendly and helpful. All spoke English (which was helpful becuase my Spanish is bad). The location is within easy walking ditance to several metro stations, and the main Las Ramblas street. There are also many good places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk. The rooms are small but very clean, the hotel was quite and there was a nice breakfast every moning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice but inexpensive place to stay in Barcelona.

“surprising little gem”

I spent four comfortable and safe days at The Hotel Curious. Yes, the room was small (comfortable ) but everything else was new, clean, friendly, convenient and great. Being right off the Ramblas by about 30 seconds made all the difference in the noise level. Bravo to the mangement that runs this lovely but curiously named hotel.

The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. The location was great. My room was quiet and clean. However, the rooms are definitely smaller than the typical American hotel. All in all a good location.

“Wonderful 2* hotel in central Barcelona”

Very modern, just off the Ramblas and very near to the wonderful market! Only do bed & breakfast but surrounded by lots of different restaurants, cafes and tapas bars. We intend to use it again next time we go back to Barcelona.

“A small hotel with a big heart.”

The hotel is very well located for all attractions and facilities in Barcelona central but is very quiet and relaxing. It is on the main green line of the metro, as are the majority of attractions, so getting around is simple. It took us 45 mins from the airport to the hotel. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a member of staff who was MOST helpful,and our room was ready for us. As we arrived mid morning this was brilliant as it added the day as a full day. We had unpacked and settled in by 11.30. Breakfast was self help and offered a good choice of foods,it just suited us in every way. We would certainly recommend Hotel Curious and would certainly go back again.

“Great little hotel near the Ramblas”

The Hotel Curious is a very good, centrally located hotel, just off the Ramblas and only five minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya, which is great if you take the airport bus and get off at the plaza. The rooms are very clean and modern and everything works as it should. Breakfast was plentiful and is served until a very civilised 11am. The staff couldn't have been kinder. My only complaints were that there was some noise in the room (I had a single) and that the room was too hot. My first room was next to the lift and I heard it groan into action early in the morning. After the first night I asked if I could change rooms and they said it wouldn't be possible (but offered me earplugs), but on the second morning they said a room had become free, so I was able to change. They also advised me to take my keycard out of the electricity slot in order to turn the heating off at night. In my second room, I had the sound of snoring from an adjoining room on the first night, followed by a whining dog from adjacent flats on the second night - but by then I'd got used to wearing my earplugs! So take earplugs! Excellent value and I'd definitely book there again.

“Good for seniors traveling alone.”

At the age of 73, this was my first solo overseas trip. This hotel was superb because of its good location. The staff people were very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend this for people traveling alone.
