“Great hotel for the price and location”

The hotel was really easy to find - I travelled by train then metro from the airport - and in a really good location for walking down to the beach area or local restaurants. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel because I thought 9 euros was quite pricey and instead drank coffee and ate breakfast outside in the sunshine at one of the local cafes. The hotel itself was clean and my room was very good for the price I paid. It was spotlessly clean and cleaned with fresh towels when requested. The staff were helpful when asked - I think some of their English is not so good which is why they were a bit reticent which was fine with me as I guess I should learn more Spanish! As a single woman on my own I would recommend the hotel and would certainly stay there again.

“Great location in Barcelona”

Hotel is ideally situated between the Rambla and the nearest beach which makes it a great location to stay. The hotel reception staff were also extremely helpful and friendly.

Stayed for 2 nights and was very impressed with hte location. It is a safe area and perfect for a weekend away.

the hotel was set well away from las ramblas so very quiet.We had a room with a roof terrace which had 1 table and 2 chairs and a sunbed.the view was fantastic we could se the marina and all the boats and a wide scope of barcelona including the cable car to the mountain aand all the planes going and coming.The bedroom was well arranged and the bathroom luxurious the only thing that was a let down was the tv as it was a waste of time as you couldnt get an english station!! There was a mini bar advertised but none there they said they had never had one. Plenty of little restuarants nearbye and 10 mins from las ramblas and beach.

“Hotel Del Mar Barcelona - a little gem”

Great location only a few hundred yards from Rail station. Easy walking to all the major attractions and to great restaurants either in the marina area or in the city center. Staff could not have been more helpful. We would go back.

I would strongly recommend Hotel Del Mar to anyone visting Barcelona. Really attractive interior, ultra clean and comfortable, beautiful modern room and good breakfasts. Relaxing atmosphere with very pleasant and courteous front desk staff. Excellent for a 3 star hotel. The only criticism would perhaps be the rather brusque and noisy non-Spanish canteen staff. However we loved it and would absolutely stay there again.

“Would stay again”

Lovely clean and bright hotel, we found this to be a good location, accessible - taxi could pull up outside, - the bus turistic had 2 handy stops within a minutes walk, it was within walking distance of the main attractions of the waterfront, the markets, the park, La Ramblas and so on. Paid a bit extra for the safe in our room. Didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on that.

“Smallish room, perfect location”

We chose this place based on price and location. The reviews sounded hit or miss, talking about small, outdated rooms and unresponsive staff. The rooms were indeed small, but they looked very modern and were enough space for my wife and I. The staff was very helpful and kind, and it's location couldn't have been more perfect for us. If and when we come back to Barcelona, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
