The Hotel gives a really good impression at the entrance and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. Our room was OK just there are signs of deterioration, dust and dirt. The proof is that I sneeze and cough every time I was inside the room. Our bed was extremely hard. Me and my partner couldn't sleep without noticing it. The best part was the terrace, great ambience, view and service. The restaurant and the breakfast was delicious. Location is near everything. So despite everything minor flaws, we won't hesitate to book a room in this hotel again.

the hotel is a good size and in a great location close to the gothic area and the marina, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful especially the reception staff with good advice to help make the most of our stay in barcelona. the rooftop terrace was a great place to relax with a drink at the end of the day, though we only had breakfast in the hotel the quality and choice of food on offer was excellent. we would stay here again for sure.

This is a lovely hotel. The service is wonerful and the staff is very helpful. Best of all it was clean and comfortable and close to las Ramblas. I could even see it from my window/blacony. Have stayed here in the past and would stay here again in the future!

“Nice hotel in good location”

This hotel really is in the heart of the city and everywhere is within walking distance. the rooms are modern and very clean. didn't eat at the hotel at all because so many cafes and restaurants within a short walk. Can imagine in the summer the roof terrace and small pool would be lovely to come back to after a day's sightseeing.

“Exceptionally nice small hotel”

The hotel featured a slightly small, but extremely comfortable room, with an excellent bed. The bathroom was spacious and very modern. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Small business center, with free internet access, was a very convenient asset. Breakfasts were superb and included in price. Location was perfect, within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to do, including Las Ramblas, Barri Gotic, museums and Gaudi architecture. *****

great location, across street from ports, close to markets,cafes, las ramblas district. hotel personnel extremely courtious and helpful. room good size, clean and very safe. overall a great place to stay and visit and i highly recommend it to all who want to experience a good time.

“Excellent value at the edge of the Gothic Quarter”

The service at the Duquesa de Cardona is excellent, the staff professional, polite, and efficient. There is a restaurant (not cheap) and a lovely terrace bar (ditto). The location is excellent: just a few steps away is the Barri Gotic, with magnificent medievel architecture and intriguing bars and restaurants. About 15 minutes' walk takes you to Santa Maria del Mar and the colorful Born (old waterfront area).

“wonderful rooms”

Lover the rooms of this hotel - massive (rare in cities) with amazing bathrooms - we had 2 showers in ours!! Staff come and tidy room, fold down bed while they know you're at dinner abd ask for your preferred air freshener! It was lovely. Staff v friendly and helpful throughout stay. Slightly expensive hotel but you get what you pay for.
