“Excellent location, clean, good value for money - take earplugs for subway!”

Hotel in a fantastic location right on place Catalunya, easy walking distance to La Rambla, marina, Gaudi's house and the Gothic quarter. An excellent position for exploring the city. Clean and basic rooms although the subway runs right underneath the hotel and it is not very deep. Take earplugs incase you are on the first floor or request a top floor room! Couldn't have asked for a better location for the price of this hotel - staff friendly, free internet access, air conditioned, small balcony. Excellent value for money and a superb location for a short weekend break mid august.

“Great Location”

I stayed for 4 nights in a very comfortable and clean room on the 3rd floor. I've read about the noise and vibration when the metro passed underneath the hotel, so I was ready to deal with that, to my surprise, I barely felt it in the morning and it didn't bother me since it was time to head out anyways. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel; there are plenty of places to eat around and experience what the locals have like "bocadillos de jamon". Overall, great location, close to all the action around Placa Catalunya, las ramblas, and easy access to metro, aerobus, and bus turistic.

Just north of Las Ramblas and steps from the subway etc... we walked everywhere... good brekky options either side of the hotel... pleasant staff...

Positives - The location of this hotel is perfect for access to the placa de catalonia and La Ramblas. The hotel staff are really helpful and can give you any information that you need. Cons - The hotel is right on top of a metro line so you hear every train that goes past. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on around.

“Nice hotel, great location”

This hotel is located about a block from the Placa de Catalunya and right at the beginning of Las Ramblas. It's a great location, we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel was quiet, we didn't see any other guests. The rooms were small and undecorated but for the most part pleasant. We were able to leave our luggage with the front desk the day we checked out because our flight didn't leave until the evening. I would recommend this hotel for others travelling on a budget.

“Great Location”

Our first time in Barcelona, and the hotel was in the perfect location for us to explore around the city. The were courteous and informed. After checking out, the hotel stored our luggage for us for a later pick-up to meet our cruise ship. Did not partake of the morning breakfast at the hotel./

“Vintage Hotel circa 1950's?”

This hotel fit the requirements that my Dad used to live by: "A place to lay my head, and take a hot shower." A clean, but noisy hotel. The marble floors throughout made great echo chamber, and people would come in late at night, yelling for their friends, or talkig loud to each other, and made it rough sleeping. Once you got used to the Sada (Subway) that must have ran under the hotel, this was an very comfortable room in which to plan your visit to Barcelona ans use as a base camp, if you will. The rates were cheaper, and the maid kept the room spotless.

“Great location to explore the city”

Seriously good value for the location, we were about 1 min walk from the Placa Catalunya. (The bus from the airport, tourist buses, and metro all convene here and no matter how lost you get on foot you can always find your way back here) I think the rooms vary in size, ours was very comfortable. Nevertheless the rooms were very clean and tidy. I could hear the trains faintly but we were on the 5th floor and I imagine it may be worse at ground level. No real restaurant or facilities but all we wanted was a room. I would recommend this hotel for people wanting to spend most of their time outside of the hotel, exploring the city. Because of the location it is perfect for this.

nice hotel in a very good location, close to everything, some of the staff are very rude. rooms are very clean but a little small. breakfast is very expensive 11 euros. It is a good hotel for the money.
