Lovely hotel in a good location for sightseeingPosted May 6, 2014
The hotel was v funky with great glass lifts. The staff couldn't be any more helpful. They changed our room as we asked to be at the back of the hotel as there were some building works opposite the hotel.

Good hotel with easy access to everywhere. Good restaurants close by at very reasonable prices as not in the main tourist area.

Great hotel for Barcelona sightseeingPosted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Location was convenient to tube and buses. Large spacious rooms and very helpful staff.
Cons: The only downside was the roof top terrace bar does not open until the summer season.
Location: the location was quiet but very well positioned to walk to the main centre or catch the nearby tube.
Superb hotel, great location, extremely helpful staff. Our first visit to Barcelona was really enjoyable and the hotel was conveniently located near to great restaurants, cafes, and the main centre. The staff helped to book tickets for nearby tourist attractions and recommended some good restaurants.Nothing appeared too much of a problem for them. The only downside was the roof top terrace bar does not open until the summer season. Our family rooms were spacious with large bathrooms. We will return!

Long weekend at Hotel Granados 83Posted Apr 8, 2014
Hotel Granados is close to the centre of Barcelona, within a short metro journey (for a couple of euros) or a 20 min. walk. You can get a multi-journey metro ticket for 2 or more days and this works out a good way to travel - the metro was frequent, on time and clean/ well-lit. We were welcomed to the hotel by a friendly receptionist, who pointed out interesting places to visit on a map he provided and checked us in early (1 hour). We were shown to our room, which was clean and had everything we needed. The décor is minimalist and the maid service kept the room clean for the duration of our stay, leaving a rose in our room the first day. Breakfast goes on till 11am, which is good for those of us who like to sleep longer on holiday! There is a buffet but you can also order a cooked breakfast. The hotel bar was directly above us (on the attic level) and the noise kept me awake on the Saturday night (after 1am) but there was little noise from the road (the rooms are sound-proofed and it is a quiet road) and the other nights were quiet (we were on the 6th floor but am sure you would not hear the bar if you are in a floor below this). The bed was comfortable and the shower room was a good size with all that we needed. I was disappointed that the pool was not yet open but I guess it opens in May, there was no mention of it on the hotel information in our room. There is so much to do in Barcelona, so it wasn't a problem. A good hotel with restaurants/ shops nearby.
