Nice hotel for a couple!

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Nice hotel in an area of barcelona with a great supply of bars and restaurants. Having been to barcelona before we were there more to relax and enjoy the bar/restaurant/shopping scene and a bit of beach action! Therefoer this hotel met our needs perfectly. The hotel had a nice decked area on the roof with a small pool and nice bar - good for lounging first thing in the morning and there's sun up there until about 8pm, so nice to chill in the evening with a G&T! We did have to repeatedly ask for towels in the evening as they were not replenished very quickly but I'm being very fussy by saying that - it was a lovely hotel and staff met our requests. In terms of eating - things kick off around 10pm so don't rush to be dressed and ready for dinner in the early evening! The restaurants get busy between 9.30-12.00 so book an al fresco table earlier in the day if you can. But there's plenty to choose. Also 'dry martini' cocktail bar is definitely worth a visit about 2 blocks away). La Polpa was our best find whilst we were there, a stones throw from the hotel, all locally sourced produce at ridiculously low prices and absolutely delicious! If sightseeing is your main prioroty in barcelona this hotel is near some of the attractions but it is about 20 mins walk from la ramblas and a metro ride away from sagrada de famillia - this said, the metro system is like the London Underground and is very efficient and easy to use. I would stay in this hotel and this area again.

AMAZING.. LOVE.. MODERN

Lovely welcome... Speaks both lingos... Very attentive.. Wifi excellent in rooms... Hotel perfect location once navigated... People very friendly, didn't feel I had anyone preying on me as in pick pocketing ...Eveything is close by... Pretty much walk to main tourist attractions, even in the heat that's if you want to be a tourist... Cool down or wake up to lounge seats on the roof but with the smallest pool!! But hey it's just to cool down, lay, relax and catch those rays right!!:) to visit more places:)) Would be back in a jiffy!!;)

Great room for our family of four!

Pros: Location, spacious room, clean and comfortable
After staying in a tiny hotel room in Paris, it was a pleasure to have a very spacious family room here. Helpful staff, excellent location on a quiet street but close to Metro and within walking distance of many popular areas. Loved the pool/bar on the roof. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel, great room, fab rooftop terrace. Don't expect the gym (as advertised), there are 2 machines. The outdoor pool isn't big enough to swim in but great for a dip to cool off. Location was perfect, very chilled and close to loads of great eating places and the metro. Well worth a visit

Pros: modern and clean.
Cons: while most of the concierge staff was very helpful, there were a few rude employees who were not particularly helpful in answering our questions
Location: very close to good shopping/restaurants. walkable to most main areas of the city
Modern and clean hotel located in a quiet part of barcelona. very close to metro stations and easy 15 minute walk to the main areas of town and great shopping.

Nice hotel, in a very nice part of Barcelona.

Nice hotel, in a very nice part of Barcelona. Decor, and architecture is beautiful, however the service is nothing to brag about- very inconsistent and slow. Everyone seems nice, but there was only one lady that was competent. As I previously said beautiful part of Barcelona resembles uptown Manhattan with a Greenwich Village vibe. Overall very accessable to go to the beach, L3 will take you to la Ramblas, Barri Gotic and all the areas around the old city.... Gaudi's casa mila and casa batilo are walking distance and so is Sagrada Familia. We stayed their for a week so it was nice and we could compare neighborhoods. I wouldn't stay in any other neighborhood besides Eixemple... Also a lot of caf├ęs, bars and clubs in the area.
