Long weekend at Hotel Granados 83Posted Apr 8, 2014
Hotel Granados is close to the centre of Barcelona, within a short metro journey (for a couple of euros) or a 20 min. walk. You can get a multi-journey metro ticket for 2 or more days and this works out a good way to travel - the metro was frequent, on time and clean/ well-lit. We were welcomed to the hotel by a friendly receptionist, who pointed out interesting places to visit on a map he provided and checked us in early (1 hour). We were shown to our room, which was clean and had everything we needed. The décor is minimalist and the maid service kept the room clean for the duration of our stay, leaving a rose in our room the first day. Breakfast goes on till 11am, which is good for those of us who like to sleep longer on holiday! There is a buffet but you can also order a cooked breakfast. The hotel bar was directly above us (on the attic level) and the noise kept me awake on the Saturday night (after 1am) but there was little noise from the road (the rooms are sound-proofed and it is a quiet road) and the other nights were quiet (we were on the 6th floor but am sure you would not hear the bar if you are in a floor below this). The bed was comfortable and the shower room was a good size with all that we needed. I was disappointed that the pool was not yet open but I guess it opens in May, there was no mention of it on the hotel information in our room. There is so much to do in Barcelona, so it wasn't a problem. A good hotel with restaurants/ shops nearby.

Great modern boutique hotel, great customer service, the only downside is that the hotel restaurant is expensive compared to local restaurants, but the food is good. I visit Barcelona at least once per month wirh work and I try and stay here everytime i visit Barcelona

Professional, cool, elegant and friendly hotel.Posted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: The staff, the food and the location.
Cons: Could provide a kettle in the rooms, and perhaps bottled water.
Location: The location is excellent. Quiet, but very convenient. All the major central highlights of Barcelona are within 20minutes walk.
We stayed for 1 week, with our two young children. The staff were extremely helpful, and friendly at all times. The food was wonderful. We had one small bad experience with breakfast, this was dealt with in an immediate and generous manner by the hotel manager, who contacted us directly to talk about it. Their customer service was excellent. The hotel had a relaxed and cool vibe, perhaps better suited to adults rather than children.

Close to the city, but tiny phobic rooms.Posted Oct 28, 2013
The hotel is very chic and neat with a great friendly staff, however because I stayed in a single room I had experienced the worst stay in my whole life. The room was phobic with no window and is literally 2x3 m2, imagine a bed and a toilet in a tiny area like that. Not to mention that the bed wasn't long enough for me and my height is only 180 cm. Honestly I could have done better for the value of money I paid. Never again.

Exceeded our expectations.Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Location and general standard of the hotel
Cons: Tea/coffee making facilities in the room
Location: Excellent location, quiet yet easy access to cultural interests, shopping and restaurants and bars
Hotel staff were exceeding helpful – nothing was too much trouble. Our room was larger than we had anticipated and was comfortable and clean. The food in the dining room was excellent and the Roof Terrace a definite bonus. We would definitely book a return visit

Good, quiet locationPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: The hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood and about 10 minutes walk from the Metro station.
Cons: I'd prefer the twin beds in the twin-bed room to be put further apart, instead of being put together.
Location: Convenient location. Many restaurants, pastry shops, mini markets nearby.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Granados 83 for 8 nights with 2 rooms. Room size were so so but modern and clean. Staff was friendly and proficient.
