Post Cruise stay in BarcelonaPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: It's location.
Cons: The elevators are slow and very small we had to wait for seven elevators before we could get our bags to the lobby to check out.
Location: Close to La Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, Shopping District. Recommend the hop on hop off bus to give yourself a good overview of the city
This hotel has a great location to the site in the downtown historic core of the city. We found their restaurant to be very expensive but there are a lot of dining options within walking distance. Note Starbucks is a three minute walk and the market is close by which is a great spot for breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. We would have no problem recommending this hotel.

Very pleasedPosted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: Check in was fast, Staff was great, room was great, good selection of restaurants on the same block.
Cons: Free shuttle to the airport.
Location: Pleased with the selection of restaurants on the same block.
Check in was fast, a happy hour, dinner, early to bed, wake up call from the hotel, cab waiting for an early ride to the airport. Great !

One night before cruisePosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Check in staff very friendly, good English spoken by most.
Cons: I don't think it can be improved, but walls are paper thin. We could hear conversation from the room next door as if they were in our room.
Great location, one street from las rambles, cathedral, and park to pick up hop on bus.

Good facilities, central locationPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: We liked the central location and the availability of an upgrade to include a very large terrace.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
Location: The location is a few short blocks east of the middle of the main Rambla, which makes it convenient to the major attractions in Barcelona.
We upgraded to include a balcony (really a terrace), which added comfort to an otherwise average room. The experience was good overall; the staff was very helpful.

First visit at BarcelonaPosted Oct 11, 2013
The location is very convenient and that's the best of it. Other than that... 1. No Ice machine anywhere, 2. Staff is not friendly, 3. Shower water temperature is not predictable, 4. Sound travels between rooms, 5. Pop-in guest has better rate than my reservation -- I thought I had the LAST 3 rooms from Expedia.

Excellent LocationPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Fantastic location, excellent price for room only. Friendly staff. Clean room.
Cons: Carpets a little stained, either clean or change them. Better lighting!!! Cheaper breakfast.
Location: Excellent location!!! Stroll along narrow streets with shops and restaurants to The Ramblas or up to Pl de Catalunya. Cathedral 3 minutes away.
Room ready on arrival at 10am, Had requested quiet room at back of hotel overlooking pool which we were allocated. This was a good size and clean, decent bathroom with shower over bath and minibar with room for own drinks. Staff pleasant, polite and friendly. Can't comment on food as we were room only. (Breakfast 17 Euros which I thought expensive especially with plenty of places to eat nearby). Swimming pool looked nice but didn't use. LOCATION was excellent, a few minutes walk to The Ramblas or Pl de Catalunya and the Port was only a 12 minute stroll away. Hop on bus stop 2 minutes down the road or 4 minutes walk up to Pl de Cataunya. Would also recommend Aerobus from the Airport as a return journey was 10Euros, the bus stop was 150 yards from the airport entrance and the final stop on the route was Pl de Catalunya. (4 Minutes from hotel).Perfect! (We usually get a Taxi for 40/50 euros each way!). We usually stay at 4 or 5* hotels but would definitely recommend this hotel as a good base. If you like live music in a cosy atmosphere try Obama's, an African/English bar.

Excellent Location, minutes from Catalunya squarePosted Aug 24, 2013
Pros: Staff Location Comfortable room
Cons: Maybe a new shower head would be good
Location: Close to Catalunya square where the open top buses leave. It is also the start of La Rambla. Going the other way takes you to Barcelona Cathedral.
The staff were exceptional, extremely helpful and pleasant. We had a minor problem with the shower which required extra towels, these were provided immediately. Extra touches such as a free glass of fizzy wine made our stay. Our room was spotless and we enjoyed using the little swimming pool to cool off after a days sightseeing

Great locationPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice hotel, good value for what you pay for. friendly, helpful staff. in good location, 5 mins fro la ramblia, 20 mins from beach, 5 mins fro place de catalyuna square where airport buses and tour buses leave. nice bars and restaurants around. 2 mins from metro stop. Pool is very small, but to lie out in sun for few hours instead of going to the beach or site-seeing was fine.

Good for a one night stayPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is in serious need of a make over. It's only saving grace is the location - walking distance to the Rambla and close to the port.. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but you can tell it has not been updated in the last 10 years.
