“Great hotel”

Overall, the hotel was great - nice to soak your feet in the pool after a day of walking! Bar service at the pool was a little hit and miss, but waiters were attentive. A little further out than I would have liked - it's a good 20 minute walk to the centre of town and Las Ramlas.

“Great Views”

Best thing about this hotel was the wonderful views from terrace- lovely to sit and have a drink in the evening sun. Pool very tiny and rail on step was broken but it was a great place to chill out after sight seeing and good if you have children The breakfast buffet was good . Convenient location for Gaudi enthusiasts.

“Good location”

Regente was a comfortable hotel with helpful staff and a very clean room and bathroom. The price did not include breakfast and it was expensive to buy it at the hotel once we were there. It was situated in a nice area about halfway between Placa de Catalunya and La Padrera.

“Great location”

Hotel has a central location ideal for sightseeing, shopping, bars and restaurants. Staff were welcoming and helpful, hotel was clean and well maintained. Proved an ideal base for our a weekend in Barcelona.

“Return if under new Management”

Not friendly service. Lied about availability of room with two beds instead of one large bed, and had to argue for over 15 minutes on the situation. Was led to believe that a bottle of champagne in the mini bar was complimentary, as a picture of it was even in the pamphlet that stated they offered a complimentary drink. Its not in the mini bar, its at their bar DOWNSTAIRS! Horrible way to get 7.50Euros. The real cost: loss of a customer. The view at the top and the location was amazing though. Would return if newly managed.

“Definitely not 4 stars!”

The hotel was clean and the lobby was beautiful - but the rooms were very small. Definitely not a 4 star hotel by US standards, I would say this hotel is just one step up from a Red Roof Inn in the US. Housekeeping was not pleased when we asked for extra pillows because the ones in the room were about 1/2 inch thick. Room overlooked Las Ramblas and was very noisy - tried to sleep with windows open because AC didn't work and it was hot - but couldn't because of the noise. 1 highlight - the lobby bar. The "host" was very nice and even prepared a tray of hot tea and chocolates for us to take to our room one night.
