Great Location and cleanPosted Nov 7, 2013
The hotel is within easy walking distance of everything. The Universitat Metro station is probly 100 feet away and a few mjnutes to everywhere else. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. My spanish is pretty bad but their english is great. The rooms are really cold at night and there is no heat available until they switch the central unit from air conditioninh they just have extra blankets. Would be nice if they had queen size bed. Overall its a very nice mid range hotel. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Close to all the amenitiesPosted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: Looks good from the outside and inside
Cons: TV channels are not that good if you want to take a break in your room
Location: Las Ramblas are about 150 meters away. Airport bus stop at the Plaza Universidad is less than 100 meters away.
A walking distance from the last airport bus stop. 20 minutes walking distance to the harbour. Very quiet in spite of being on one of the main roads.

Pros: Breakfast is good and most of the staff is nice.
Cons: Rooms are extremely small. The bed is so close to the side walls, that the curtains brush your body as you pass by.
Location: Great location, near the center and very close to a Metro station.

Near La Rambla--great locationPosted Oct 29, 2013
The staff were extremely cordial and helpful. La Placa Catalunya is an easy walk from here. Access to good restaurants and it was so convenient that they provided a nice breakfast in the morning.

lacks atmospherePosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: it was ok - if that's your thing
Cons: service with a smile and enthusiasm would be good - a proper bar atmosphere for the evening would be great for guests and revenue
Location: Barcelona is great - very busy and lots to do and eat - check out the parks the zoo and the port
just stayed at the inglaterra Barcelona end of oct 2013 - location was very good and the hotel is clean, well decorated and modern - however it completely lacked atmosphere - had we not seen other people at breakfast we would have thought we were the only ones there - generally the staff were obliging but that's it - no smiles and no extra miles ! could you have eaten evening meal there ? well i'm not sure - there was a notice in the lift saying the dining room was shut two out of the three nights we were there and when we went to order a coffee we waited 10 minutes for service even though they have an alarm that alerts them when someone is there - if you want a clean tidy hotel with amenities then it's fine just as long as you actually don't like seeing or speaking to anyone - if you want atmosphere fun and a welcome of any kind this is not the place for you - the beds are a little soft - but only a little if you don't mind you'll be ok

Trip to BarcelonaPosted Oct 24, 2013
Location: La Rambla, Plaza de Catalunya, El Gòtic, Sagrada Familia, Hop on hop off city tour
We stayed in this hotel the last night before returning back to Canada. We found the experience very pleasant. The hotel is located in down town, near all the major attractions. Commuting from and to the airport was easy. We would recomend this hotel to everybody!

Price too high for this hotel.Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: The dining area.
Cons: The mildew on shower tiles.
Location: This hotel is a couple of blocks from Plaza Cataluna and La Rambla, tour buses, "El Corte Ingles" dept store, la Bogueria are within walking distance.
Room was just OK, shower tiles had mildew and could not bring food into roof terrace or go there in the morning. Staff spoke English and breakfast was nice.

Tiny and LoudPosted Oct 19, 2013
This hotel is both Tiny and Loud. The rooms are dirty and the noise from both the hallway outside and the noise on the street is not tolerable. We had prepaid for this hotel before we left and we still decided to move after the first night choosing to "eat" the additional nights we has already paid for. I think the worst part was that when we checked out the person at the front desk said "oh, but you paid for three nights???" we said yes but that we were choosing to check out. He didn't bother to inquire as to why that was. This speaks to the overall feeling that staff just don't really care. Do yourself a favor and pick another hotel. We moved to the Olivia Balmes and it was fantastic.

Clean comfortable good locationPosted Oct 11, 2013
I stayed for two weeks. The staff was very helpful with directions and any problems that I had. The room was small but very clean modern and comfortable. It was only a few blocks from where you could catch the Airbus to the airport, which is a cheap efficient way to get to the airport. There are two Metro stations near by and the Ramblas is also a few blocks away. Even walking outside in the evening I felt safe.

City break - 1st anniversaryPosted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: It is in a central location. Short walk for the main square. No noise in the evening, around the hotel. Plunge pool on roof, ice cold! Brrrrr...!
Cons: 1 bed rather than 2 pushed together. But other than that, you couldn't fault anything.
Location: Many shopping malls, bars and cafes along the bustling streets, where you can grab something to eat, or enjoy an ice cold beer or a pitcher or sangria
Our 1st time in Barcelona to celebrate our 1st anniversary. Lots to see and do. Sight seeing buses a must! Hotel in great location. La tagliatella restaurant, great atmosphere, lovely food! Scobies Irish bar, a very welcoming friendly bar, to wind down in the evening after a busy day exploring the magnificent city! On our 1st night in the hotel, we were greeted with champagne, which was a lovely surprise, thanks to the staff in the hotel!
