“Excellent hotel - would stay again”

Hotel in excellent location, couldn't be better - Placa Catalunya centre of all transport systems. Close to department store, supermarket, fruit market, tourist shops, pharmacy, restaurants. All staff, particularly the reception staff, were most helpful and courteous. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and good value - choice of cereals, yoghurt, hot or cold milk, fruit juices, tea/coffee, ham, cheese, crusty rolls, white/brown bread for self-service toasting, butter/spreads, tinned fruit cocktail, etc. Luggage could be left for late departure. View of Placa Catalunya/Las Ramblas from front bedrooms excellent. We would certainly stay there again and will recommend the hotel to friends and family.

“great location”

almost everything in walking distance and hotel is right at metro stop. i had breakfast included which was cereal fruit bread and adequate. single room very small and would be worth paying a bit extra for double if you want more comfort.

“great little place, great location”

I chose this hotel based on other reviews, and they were spot on. The hotel is a perfect location, just on La Rambla, it was clean, and the staff was very courteous. English was NO problem. In fact, the service in several of the Barcelona restaurants was subpar, so the service at the hotel was in fact the best I received during the trip. Didn't they the hotel food. I recommend it.

All good. Totally what I expected. Entrance is a little hard to spot, it's next to the McDonalds.

“The Perfect Spot”

It's a small, cute hotel located directly on Las Ramblas. You'll have to enter through the watch store. But don't be alarmed, the rooms are surprisingly larger than I'd expected. The train stations connecting you to the airport, and the rest of the city are only a couple of blocks away. You'll also be very close to various buslines. The room is perfect for those who plan on spending minimal time inside. The staff was pretty friendly, just don't expect any hugs.

“Will definately go back”

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Don't expect a typical hotel lounge as the entrance to the hotel was through a watch shop. The rooms were very clean and were cleaned each day. No hairdryer provided or tea/coffee making facilities. We did ask to be moved to another room as the room that we given to us was in the centre of the hotel. This was not a problem and we were given a room which overlooked Catalunya Square and the Ramblas (a bit noisy during the evening). The hotel was well placed with a Metro stop right outside. You get a discount from the hotel for the Hop On Hop Off Bus and this includes discounts for lots of the other places you might want to visit using the voucher from the hotel. For the price paid to stop here we though it was very god value.

This hotel has some great features: 1. Location - located on Plaza Catalunya - right on the north side of Las Ramblas. Great location! This is where all the tourists go. Many, many people. You can take the metro from the airport right up to the doorsteps of hotel. Or, bus from airport and you will need to walk about 1/2 mile. Returning to airport, at Plaza Catalunya, you can take the Aerobus for cheap, and as early as 5:30 am. The Hop on/ Hop off buses (blue and red lines) are right on Plaza Catalunya. Hard Rock, McDonalds, BK, Tapas bars, tourist shops. . . everything at your fingertips. Noisy. This is a city that doesn't sleep. Really. Bring ear plugs if you like the windows open, lol. 2. View - great view. Room 420 has a high ceiling, ample bathroom, three windows that open to the plaza. Warm enough in winter. 3. Service - Basic. They provide a safe in the room for 3 Euros per day. They will hold a bag for you if you arrive early and lent us a hairdryer. Recommended a great Flamenco Show. For a two star hotel, not bad. 4. It's an old building with a small elevator that can carry 3 people at a time. Very European. There are no amenities. Acceptable for a 2 star hotel. 5. Informed us to be cautious in the area. Many ATM's and Currency Exchange Offices. Take cash/Debit Card with you. Most places did not take credit cards, and if they did, they required a Passport. It is for our protection. NOTE: THIS IS A TWO STAR HOTEL, NOT THE RITZ. GREAT VALUE.

“Great Hotel, great location”

Hotel has friendly English speaking staff. Hotel is right in the middle of evrything. 2 mins walk to the Bus Turistic tourist bus and virtually on Las Ramblas. Also 5 mins walk to Port Vell where the main nightcluibs can be found. Also 5 mins from Gothic area. Would recommend this hotel again for a great short stay!

“Great view!!!”

This hotel is a great view in a great location. Our room overlooked placa de catalunya. Steps from great eats and shopping. Right next to lots of mass transit. A bit of a walk to the beach, I suggest taking the train a couple stops. Room was small but perfect for people who just need the basics. Clean and friendly. The only weird thing is that you have to leave the room key at the front desk when you leave the hotel.
