Pleasant modern hotel.Posted Oct 27, 2013
Great hotel as a base for exploring Barcelona, less than 10 minutes walk from the harbour area and La Ramblas. Positives: staff- nothing is too much trouble cleanliness pleasant roof terrace gym and Spa looked good but didn't have time to use it Negatives: Hot tub on roof not working during stay Lack of information in the room,e.g.: how the safe, phone, internet, etc. worked

If you are looking for a good sleep, don't choosePosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: Just location
Cons: Change your bed mattress
Location: The location is good because metro is just around the corner. Rambla is just within walking distance and so is the monument of Christopher Columbus.
We are staying in this hotel just because the hotel that we are looking for is full and expedia recommend this just because this hotel is around the corner of the one we like. The hotel is ok but the room condition is bad. The bed is too old and the spring is so aging that after the sleep I have to bear the back pain for the rest of my journey. It is cruising season and hard to get a room change or hotel change. But the whole experience is terrible in a sense that I did not get a good sleep. Morning staff is not willing to give help or even just a simple greeting. The chair in the room was broken but the repair person was very nice to exchange for another one. He deserved a credit for being nice. The night staff is good and will offer more help than the morning staff and he should get good credit too. The bathroom has falling pieces in the shower and we even afraid that the whole glass door may fall. Can give out a good commend when you don't get good sleep.

Great hotel in my opinionPosted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: Liked the ammenities of the hotel, had a small fridge and a safe. Also has bidet in the bathroom.
Cons: I wouldn't recommend the breakfast buffet if staying for extended period. The quality of the food is good, but no variety day to day.
Location: Location couldn't be better, metro station 5 minutes away, grocery store and lots of sidewalk bars and cafes within minutes too. 15 mins. to La Rambla
Had concerns about reading some reviews about the area of the hotel, but had no concerns at all about the area once we arrived. One doesn't know what to expect when you book a hotel, unless you've been there before. It's location couldn't be better for touring. Metro staion is around the corner, grocery discount store two minutes away, lots of sidewalk cafes also minutes away. You have to cut through el Raval to get to La Ramblas, but as long as you are not going on your own after midnight, nothing to worry about. You do pass hookers plying their trade, but they do leave you alone if you ignore them. Was really happy with the quietness of the hotel, both day and night time.

Overbooked so they sent us elsewherePosted Sep 15, 2013
We arrived from a cruise and discovered that the hotel which we booked long ago in our desired neighbourhood was overbooked. To their credit, they booked us into another hotel (supposed to be of same quality - but it wasn't and it was located on the OTHER side of Barcelona far away from our ideal neighbourhood). At least they paid for the cab ride for the relocation. I cannot review the rooms or the service since we did not actually stay there. But just a heads up to those plan to book here.

staying at the milleni hotel barcelonaPosted Sep 8, 2013
Although this hotel is rated as a four star, I would deffinatley say its more of a three. Everything was fine & clean but there was nothing special about it. Having been to Barcelona before we knew we would not be spending a lot of time in our room so this hotel was booked on location,,being near to a tube station,La Ramblas and surrounding tourist attractions. The staff were nice, polite and helpful and we would recommend this hotel as a base.

Close proximity to Metro Paral-lelPosted Sep 5, 2013
Pros: Free Wi-Fi, friendly staff on reception and proximity to the underground.
Cons: More sockets. Luckily took a twin adapter. Reduce the breakfast price.
Location: Plenty of choice of restaurants nearby. Stores and greengrocers within a 2 minute walk, supplying all sorts of Asian groceries also.
Stayed for 5 nights. Knowledgeable staff. Clean hotel. Arrived early and the bags were kept for us until check-in. Room facilities included TV and an empty fridge (useful for keeping your own drinks). No kettle or tea making facilities so take a small travel kettle, tea bags, etc with you. Hairdryer in the bathroom, but soap not replenished after the 2nd night. Bed and pillow comfortable. Had a room with a balcony. Didn't have the breakfast due to price so can't comment. Noisy on first night from restaurant across the road who decided to entertain until 3am. Apart from that, no issues. A tip for getting off at the correct exit from the Metro, follow the exit for Ronda de Sant Pau, otherwise you end up on the wrong side of the road ( Av. Paral-lel).

Nice Hotel nesr to city centerPosted Aug 6, 2013
We stayed two nights. First night, We had some problem like humidity and cleaniness in our room. We asked if they change our room. Hotel staff was kind but only they could change the other day our room. That room was better and more comfortable than the first one.the rate i gave is for the room we stayed at second night.

Adequate for the pricePosted Aug 4, 2013
Location: A little bit far out
The hotel was comfortable and adequate for the price. As mentioned before, it is a tiring walk to la ramblas especially after a long day sight seeing. Staff answered any questions about getting to places etc. I did ask reception one evening if they had a recommendation for a restaurant nearby (a change from doing the usual walk to la ramblas) they highly recommended one place which we went to and was extremely disappointed. It was by far the most expensive meal of our stay and the food was nothing great. We got told it was family friendly and great for my child, however it didn't even offer anything to eat for children. The area that the hotel is in isn't very attractive and everywhere you go you get told of the crime in the area. Fine for a short stay.
