Safe and comfortable in great locationPosted Feb 22, 2012
Location was great - near the historic part of the city as well as the beach but quiet and safe neighbourhood. Near a metro station but within an easy walking distance of some main tourist attractions and many restaurants/bars/cafes. The hotel was clean and comfortable although no window in the room (if you do not count a window into a small internal forecourt). 24hr reception and I could leave my luggage in a safe room before the check-in time to explore the city. TV in the room with Spanish and English channels but not wifi (unless you pay extra). Some noise from the corridors but overall a good experience. In summary, clean safe hotel in great location so for the price paid a good value for money. Perfectly appropriate if you want to stay for a couple of days but I would probably not choose it for a longer stay.

Nice LocationPosted Jan 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
It was overall a nice hotel, good for price. Nothing to really complain about except the internet.. If you need internet, don't go there. It is not for free, and even when I paid, i still couldn't access if from my room because of poor signal. I had to go to the coridor to have sufficiently high signal..

Oasis Hotel in Barcelona, SpainPosted Dec 2, 2011 on Hotels.com
Nice hotel in good location, but the front desk staff is mpollte and bossy. The hotel charges 3 Euros for WI -Fi use in the room, and an additional 3 Euros for any other computer that you use in that same room at any time during your stay.

Very Impressed.Posted Nov 23, 2011
We stayed (4 of us in 2 rooms) for 2 nights prior to cruising out of Barcelona. The hotel was very clean, staff very helpful and the hotel very conveniently located for exploring Barcelona. Great cafe next door for breakfast.

Great locationPosted Nov 14, 2011
Location: Simply refer to Rick Steeves and then do it. Lots to do in this great city. Start your first day with the Hop-on Hop-Off Touristico bus (three different loops of Barcelona). Excellent orientation -- and opportunity to hop-off for many separate sites. Plenty of buses = short waits to hop-on. Don't miss the Picasso Museum.
Smaller room but a great location. Very near train station, bus lines, Barcelonetta, and the old (tourist) parts of Barcelona. Terrific value for the area. Plenty of dining options nearby.

Oasis Hotel in Barcelona in need of repairPosted Oct 10, 2011 on Hotels.com
The paper on the walls peeling off. Mold on the air conditioning vent. Poor English. None at all in their cafe. Needed to get desk clerk to help us communicate. No refrigerator in room which I needed for medicine. The hotel clerk did keep it in their refrigerator. It did have an elevator and air conditioning. Door to room did not lock sufficiently. Hallway lights on a sensor so that it is dark and stays dark until one passes through it..too late.. Their "buffet" was really just a continental breakfast. I took photos if Hotel.com needs to see. I didn't expect 4+* amenities from a 2* hotel, but it was really shabby and the mold worried me. For a one night stay it was acceptable but not for longer than that. Good location though. Easy to walk to the Old City. By the way, we had reserved a "newer" room (it's on our reservation)..Would hate to see an "older room".

More than expectedPosted Aug 29, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel should not be judged by the experior view. Inside is nice and the room was quit spacious. A/C a big Plus; the bathroom was quite large and newly remodeled. The overall room was newer; not old whatsoever. The Best thing was the location - walking distance to EVERYTHING. The harbor, the beach, the tour buses, Las Ramblas, etc. We took a cab from the airport because it was worth the freedom of not fighting with our luggage, but later found out that one of the metro lines were down and we would have had to switch trains several times. We did take the metro back and it was a nightmare! Including 3 "gypsy" women dessed very nice and very atttractive who surrounded us in a friendly way while we stood with our luggage near a center pole; they were very sly as one tried to distract us while the other moved closer to me. My husband saw and moved closer to move - at the next stop they got off, we believe without stealing any thing from us...but haven't taken complete inventory. A passenger spoke with us about it after the gypsies got off....only bad thing that happened the whole trip; not bad - actually a bit exciting. :)

Great Hotel and LocationPosted Aug 25, 2011
Even though we arrived at the Oasis hotel before their checkin time of 1.00pm , we were able to leave our bags in a secure room allowing us to look around area till 1.00pm. The room was basic but had everything you need. It was very clean and tidy with towels changed everyday if need be. The location was great 5 mins to the harbour district and 5/10 mins from la ramblas. There was also a tour bus stop just round the corner. We didnt have breakfast in the hotel even though it was served , we found many small cafes around the area where you could get anything from a full english to croissants and coffee. I would recommend using the tour buses to get around the city as you can get on and off wherever you want. If you get on the bus and have to sit downstairs because the top deck is full dont worry because before they let anyone else on at the next stop, after people have got off the top deck, they give you the option of going upstairs to the top deck . Overall we would recommend both the city and the hotel for a short city break , this was our first time booking thru expedia and everything went very smoothly and we would definitely use them again.
