Great hotel!

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, the hotel itself
Cons: 4 of us in a room, asked for 4 singles, got 2 singles in place of the main bed and a bunk bed - we were fine with this, but some people might not be
Location: Can do anything, perfect location, just a short walk or a few stops from anything you wanted to do!
Great hotel, great location bang in the city centre, easy walk to Passeig de Gracia, Catalunya, Universidad (off the top of my head). Hotel was also extremely nice, the lobby area was nice (if that matters), the rooms were great. Could have fitted 10 just in the shower if we really wanted to! Staff were also the nicest i've come across in a hotel.

Museum of contrasting odours

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly and polite. The hotel is well located in Barcelona and felt calm and cosmopolitan
Cons: The stale smell in some of the rooms
Location: The hotel is located close to the Plaça de Catalunya and La Rambla. The harbour and Montjuïc are within walking distance (30 mins).
The public spaces at the hotel are modern, well presented and smell very pleasant. The rooms (that we stayed in at least) are a good size but - disappointingly - a little shabby in places. They also would have benefited from a good airing since both smelled slightly stale and - in one case - damp.

Nice hotel in good location

Nice, clean and well located. My only complaint is about the "gym" they say they have. Very poorly implemented.

Rooms were nowhere near as good as they looked in photos. Only one mirror which was in the bathroom, no sockets in bathroom to plug in hair straighteners. Very basic. Safe in room but very temperamemtal. I had to go to reception twice about it not working. Reception were very good when I did need help and one in particular was friendly when coming and going, however most staff did not welcome us back when we came back at the end of each day. The location is great,5 or 6 minute walk to placa de catalunya.

Very nice hotel perfectly located

Posted Aug 2, 2014
We were a family of four traveling. The hotel is very nice with a lot of modern touches and it is very clean. The rooms are nice, air-conditioning works great, Wi-Fi works great. Overall a very good hotel Breakfast buffet is highly recommended it's a very good buffet for a very reasonable price. The location is excellent as it is very close to the Placa de Catalunya and the Ramblas area

Conveniently located near the Center of Town

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Old world charm with modern comforts and decor.
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing and below average. We were hoping for Barcelona style breakfast menu instead we received a forgetable continental breakfas
Location: Very central and close to the old Gothic Quarter, the Ramblas & Gaudi architecture...
Very close to the train station (Renfe), Playa de Catlunya & the Ramblas. Many activities and nice restaurants nearby. Located in a very nice section of Barcelona; Passeig de Gracia.

Would stay here again

Location of this hotel is a few minutes beyond the main La Rambla, easy walking distance of the airport bus stop. Casa Batlo and La Pedera are close by and Sagrada Familia is approx 30 minute walk. The hotel has a good breakfast selection. The air conditioning in the rooms if efficient and the shower lovely.

Nice Family Hotel Near La Rambla

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The family room (with a king and two bunk beds) was perfect for our family. It has very good air conditioning!
Cons: The bathroom door was mostly glass, which is a bit bizarre to say the least!
Location: It's a long walk to the Gothic section and to some other locations, but Plaza Catalunya is right there. You can easily access La Rambla and taxis.
We needed a hotel for a family of four that was cost-effective and in the city's center. This hotel fit both of those needs quite well. It was clean, the staff was nice (and spoke good English for those who don't speak Spanish), and it was convenient to Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla. There was also a taxi stand right across the street. In addition, there were several good tapas places up and down La Rambla near the hotel (Cachitos was our favorite).

Excellent stay.

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: spacious room, location, location, location.
Cons: hmmm...
Location: Metro is a block and a half away. Another huge street the "Grand Via" is only a block and a half away too. Hop on and hop off bus is two blocks away.
The Hotel Petit Palace Museum was perhaps the best stay for my family and I during our somewhat hectic trip to Paris, Rome, Barcelona and Madrid. The size of the room for our family of four was really very good and the high ceilings made the room seem even larger. We loved the large double glass doors that open up over looking the courtyard. The hotel is just off the Rambla de Cataluyna which is like a long mall (no, not enclosed mall) area. Tons of shopping (if you're into it) and plenty of variety with places to eat. Breakfast is very reasonably priced at 9 Euros per day for a full buffet breadfast. Metro is a block and a half away. Another huge street the "Grand Via" is only a block and a half away too. Hop on and hop off bus is two blocks away. The Old Gothic city is a 15 minute walk away.
