“Helpful staff and cozy hotel”

We just completed a weeks’ stay in hotel Primero Primera, and it is highly recommendable. The staff is very nice and helpful. It started even before we arrived where they assisted us in making a dinner reservation at a restaurant which had failed to respond to our direct contact. We had the superior room with balcony at the 4th floor – the interior is new and details have been cared for - an iPhone dock and the TV is a 42 inch LED. Minibar holds only water and soft drinks – but all is complimentary – nice concept. Also the minibar is big enough to hold your own purchases should you care for that. The ‘honesty bar’ at the ground level – help yourself and record your purchase. And again – snacks, tea, coffee, soft drinks are free. Breakfast includes freshly baked bread and all you need. The dinner menu has a small selection only but of good quality – but that’s sufficient since you didn’t come to Barcelona to dine at the hotel, right? Many thanks to Dafne, Marta, Paula, Hector and the rest of the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

“Quiet, modern, 'grown-up' hotel”

Located in a quieter part of town, it was still conveniently located to both the subway station and the hop on/hop off bus. After going to Las Ramblas for 'stroll' (i.e. keeping a close eye our for pickpockets), was a delight to get back to a quiet hotel and have tapas at a local restaurant recommended by the helpful front desk staff. Probably not the best hotel to take kids - definitely had a chill, modern, boutique feel with a relaxing honors-system bar and reading room where we enjoyed the last afternoon of an anniversary trip to Europe, without the kiddos.
