Hotel full of character with great staffPosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Everything but particularly the personal service and the homely feel.
Cons: Small details in the bathroom e.g. toilet seat would not stay up, soap not replenished
Location: Attractive suburb. Parc Guell close by.
Our room was huge, furnished beautifully and with style. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfasts. Quiet location close to the metro and some excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

Best Hotel Ever! (From a very frequent traveler)Posted Dec 5, 2013
I travel the world on business and for pleasure. This hotel was probably the best hotel I have ever stayted at. I loved the ambience as the way it is lighted and laid out, I felt like I had the hotel to myself and it was built for me. Personal service was phenomenal at every turn. It was short walk to the nearest Metro Train station and a 10 minute ride to the heart of Barcelona. Save your money on City Center hotels and stay here...absolutely the best service, the best staff, the most comfortable room and they pay attention to the smallest detail. One of a kind place..never experienced anything quite like it. Will definitely go back! BRAVO to Primero Primera!

Wonderful Boutique HotelPosted Oct 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Primero Primera for 4 nights in early October. Very beautiful hotel outside of Barcelona. Staff was fantastic, spoke great English, and all around very friendly. They were very accommodating as well - because of our flight we were unable to check in until after midnight and even though the kitchen had closed for the evening, the hotel desk attendant fixed my boyfriend and I a great few plates of food for our dinner that evening. Room was very clean and was large enough to spend a lazy day inside the one day it rained during our trip and we just wanted to relax. Honesty Bar and complementary mini bar are great touches as well and the wifi worked perfectly throughout the entire hotel. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Superior accommodationPosted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: Location near metro, some nice local restaurants and shops, lovely rooms and service. A treat!
Location: Handy to metro, so able to go to Las Ramblas, Sagrada Familia Church, Tibidabo, all by train. Nice not to be in the hub of the city also.
Greeted by friendly staff, fortunate to have our room up-graded which we were very appreciative of. Our room was spotlessly clean, and well equiped - we were delighted to have good sized teacups! Lovely balcony to sit out on, the shower was a treat, and bed so comfortable. My husband loved the downstairs bar and the opportunity to pour himself a drink, and just complete the honesty tab. Lovely to be able to help ourselves to a snack and especially fruit, at any time. The bar attendant was very obliging with providing a jug of milk each evening so we could have a cup of tea in our room whenever. I would be delighted to return to this hotel, if the opportunity arises again.

Fantastic all roundPosted Oct 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had an excellent stay at Hotel Primero Primera. There are many excellent points such as buffet breakfast, beautiful outdoor terraces, gorgeous bedrooms, lovely places to sit and have complimentary snacks and soft drinks and the staff are especially helpful. A few niggles: the coffee machine broke after our first breakfast and the quality of coffee went down (I just switched to tea), the bedroom lighting - they have used desk lamp spotlights above the bed which are blinding, the hallways are quite dark at night with very little lighting. Overall an excellent break and I would go again.

Beautiful hotel in quiet neighborhood.Posted Oct 6, 2013
Spent 3 nights at the Primero Primera hotel at the end of a 2 week European trip. Barcelona is busy and after a long day of walking and site seeing it was a real relief to come back to a quiet and very beautiful hotel. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk to the subway/metro and you can be downtown in the heart of Barcelona in 10 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel in quiet neighborhoodPosted Oct 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff is very helpful. They regularly and promptly respond to emails if you have questions about your stay and do their very best to accommodate your needs. For example, while all rooms are relatively quiet, our first room was beautiful w/ a terrace, but it faced the street and was a bit louder than I'd like although not loud for most people esp. since the windows are double-paned. But still, I asked for an even quieter room and they were able to accommodate as they had room in their "attic" which is really the top floor and the whole floor is a terrace outside your room, which makes it a lovely place to sit and relax. The hotel smells wonderful and has plenty of seating areas to read, rest, etc. It is a bit more expensive than we usually pay but they have rooms with varied prices so at least were able to get one of the lower rates. The hotel staff offered to upgrade us for the same price to a suite but since that room would face the street, we stuck w the smaller room w/ less street noise...even though, as stated, there is only minimal street noise to begin with since it is on a quieter, residential street. Still, there are cars from time to time. It is a bit of a walk to the main downtown, but you can walk or take the metro so a lovely place if you don't want to be in the middle of it all for slumber!

Fantastic family-run hotelPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Everything! (see comments above)
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Located in a quiet suburb with several good restaurants within walking distance. 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station.
Our expectations had been raised by the wonderful reviews for this hotel and having stayed here we can now say that the reviews are not exaggerated. The hotel is furnished to a very high standard and everything in the hotel is of the highest quality. The rooms are wonderful and having the use of the lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks made it feel like home. Having access to the internet was useful. The breakfast was excellent and being able to eat it in the garden terrace added to the experience. The outstanding aspect for us was the attentiveness of the staff who have a wonderful manner and are extremely helpful and polite. This is the best hotel we have stayed in!
