Chose the Hotel Villa Emilia based on reviews on Tripadvisor and it did not disappoint. The hotel was bright and modern, rooms were very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was ideal being close enough to most of the main attractions but in a quiet street - several other hotel reviews recommended the hotels but complained about the noisy location; this was not an issue with the Villa Emilia.Would definitely return if visiting Barcelona again.

Enjoyed our stay in Villa Emilia, close to Metro in quiet part of town, plenty of cafes near hotel. Polite service from all staff. Small but very comfortable room finished to a high standard. Breakfast in hotel was good with plenty of fresh produce on display. The Zinc bar was also a great place to end the evening. We will definitely be staying in the hotel again!

“Great stay in Barcelona!”

The Villa Emilia was fantastic! My wife and I had never been to Barcelona before, so we really didn't know where to stay. We chose the Villa Emilia based on the reviews of others, and it couldn't have been better. The hotel is very modern with a hip, trendy feel. The rooms are a little small, but they are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are well appointed and have awesome walk-in showers. For relaxing, the hotel has a great bar on the first floor, as well as a beautiful terrace on the roof...great place for relaxing with a cocktail after a day of sightseeing. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is actually located in a more residential/business area, which was great. It was a beuatiful urban neighborhood with wonderful shops and restaurants. The Barcelona subway system is excellent, and there is a stop 100 yards from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Villa Emilia is a medium sized modern hotel in a quiet area of the city, approximately 20 minutes walk from the Ramblas. It is clean, beautifully decorated throughout and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size with a view over the street and was very comfortable. There is a great selection of reasonably priced bars and restaurants nearby and the area is safe and quiet. Our visit to Barcelona was to celebrate our 50th birthdays and our 3 night stay at Hotel Villa Emilia made the trip even more memorable. Highly recommended.

A lovely ultra-modern, cool trendy hotel. Room is fantastic, the bars are great and the staff are welcoming and approachable. It's closer to Placa Espana than Placa Catalunya, but it is ideally located next to a metro station and major bus routes. A perfect base for sight seeing or just relaxing in luxury surroundings.
