“Good hotel for the money.”

Hotel is nice and has a nice location. Front desk staff are friendly, but couple could not speak much English. The daily breakfast is decent and met the expectations. The room we got with king bed was too small so they gave us a larger room with 2 beds that kept on moving away from one another! For a couple, this was not the besmt option! Hotel is clean and we were generally happy.

The hotel is located just north of the Diagonal so it's a great location outside the tourist masses but still within walking distance of all the attractions. It is very clean and streamlined with a professional and helpful staff. The rooms are very small and we unfortuantely had one of the court facing rooms so we didn't get a city view and the room did feel a bit stuffy and prison cell like. But it is quiet, very clean and has the basic amenities (no kettle for making a cup of tea or coffee though!). The bathroom is well designed and clean - but doesn't have a ventilator, so it was steamed up for a while after our showers which added to the aforementioned stuffiness of the room. We did not at any point during our visit, see people at the downstairs bar, so this is probably better suited for business people or tourists that just need a base to sleep when they're not exploring the beautiful city. We did not visit the restaurant, so I'll leave it for other reviewers to cover that.

“Hotel Zenit Barcelona”

The Hotel is clean and comfortable, but not too comfortable. The room, althought a double, was small and we barely had room to go around the bed. The neighborhood is outside the main tourist area, but loaded with shops and restaurants and cafes after dark. Central to the metro line and busses., we got to any area of the city with comfort.

Just got back from our stay at Hotel Zenit, we found position of hotel very good, close to very good restuarants and bars. To get to the Ramblers we just turned left and the bottom of hotel road had a short walk and then did a right on to the main road and caught the 58 bus which took us straight to the Ramblers which was great. Found hotel restaurant a bit pricey, but you have a good choice of placeses to eat localy. I would go back again

“Satisfied”

Room was neat, clean, modern design. Maid service very good. Room size was smaller than expected with small window facing into the small inner core of the building, that is no view to the street. I would select a larger room next time.

“Average Hotel”

Easy access to Las Ramblas by bus or train. Expensive breakfast. Interactive TV not easy to follow. Only 2 English news channels including CNN. Pay for ALL other movie channels.

“Nice Hotel--Very Helpful Staff”

We liked to walk a lot so location was great, but if you had disabilities it would be a little hike for folks to the subway (Hospital Clinic) or to Las Ramblas shopping. It was about 1.25 miles from the hotel to Plaza Catalunya--we walked it everyday at least one way. Great shopping and very safe area to walk around.

Zenit Hotel has a modern room design. The rooms are nice and clean.

“Hotel Zenit Barcelona”

Although Ive rated this hotel as a 4, if I was to return to Barcelona, I wouldn't book to stay in Hotel Zenit again. The bedroom and bathroom were very nice and the bed was very comfortable however, the hotel had no atmosphere. There wasn't ever anyone in the bar, including bar staff, which put us off from asking at reception for someone to serve us. It seemed to be a very formal hotel, and although reception staff were happy to help us with directions when we asked, it didn't seem to be a very friendly atmosphere. I had hoped to enjoy the hotel more as I'd opted for 4 star as a treat, hoping that we'd enjoy the hotel as much as we'd enjoyed the trip, however the hotel ended up being just somewhere to sleep and keep our belongings. Im sure we could have done that somewhere else for half the price!
