My arrival at the hostal was delayed significantly due to my first flight being delayed and then my rebooked stopover flight being delayed as well. The staff were in correspondence throughout my predicament and stayed up well past midnight to check me in. The staff were pleasant for the length of my stay, spoke very good English, provided helpful tips for getting around Barcelona and even helped me book my train to Valencia.
The location was good a nearby metro station and bus made getting around the city very easy though plenty of things were within walking distance.
Facilities were good enough especially for the price and the kitchen was well stocked with knives and plates etc.
I would definitely stay again if I decided to have a few nights in Barcelona again.

Walking distance to the beach and Sagrada Familia. Two room unit was spacious and cool (not the last thing in Spain's summer - I had stayed in 6 hotels in 12 days and air conditioning was not always good). They also have parking - convenient if you travelling by car. And a printer! They have a printer in a lobby to print you stuff (like your online tickets or boarding passes) - simple thing, but did not see it in other places. Staff was good, making all efforts to help - including attempt to understand my English :). Oh, and the breakfast buffet was excellent!

Lovely little 4th floor (there is a lift) studio apartment, in great location, very close to everything - La Rambla, sea front, metro, shops, restaurants etc. It has all you will need. A little expensive, but so are all hotels/apartments in Barcelona, especially with terrace. As I was staying there for only 3 days, on my own, I thought £40 for cleaning was over the top. Quite a small apartment, more a studio, but a lovely place to stay. Felt safe & secure. The staff who meet you on arrival, Gus in my case, was very welcoming and helpful. Would totally recommend the sight seeing buses. The nearest stop to the apartment is by Christopher Columbus Column on sea front, 10 mins walk. These will take you all over the city, to all the sights. You can hop off at any of the stops for as long as you like & hop back back on another bus (just keep hold of ticket). The buses are every 10/15 mins. It's a brilliant way to see everything and cannot recommend it enough, especially if you're only there for 3 days. The architecture in this city is amazing & the bus tour allows you to see it all. Would also recommend Cable car ride to castle.

"Budget hotel which beats service of any 5starhotel"
We found this place thinking it would an average place to stay in given its cost but we were pleasantly surprised to see that the facilities were new and the service staff excellent particularly Ferdie who goes the extra mile for customer care. Ferdie was " sobre saliente". We would stay again here if ever were back in Barcelona
