Fab hotel in great central placePosted Jul 26, 2014
Location: Due to it being Central the bus service, metro and station were all convenient to travel further afield.
The Hotel was Central to all amenities and just a nice 20 minute slow walk to the beach. We never ate in the restaurant due to the fabulous restaurants that surrounded us. Had a problem with the Tv sound which was fixed within 5 minutes of reporting it and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The concierge was a mine of info which made getting to places so much easier. Barcelona is a fabulous place which was only enhanced by our hotel experience.

A four night break for my wifes birthdayPosted May 16, 2014
Pros: Location, staff rooms and facility's
Location: perfect location for all the city attractions, also perfect for metro and local buses.
My wife, two sons and myself had a great time at the Meridien, could not fault our stay, all the staff that we had dealings with were first class, we even found the prices for drinks in the bar were very reasonably priced, and found the hotel the ideal place for our base,

Great location, comfortable hotelPosted May 5, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff was very helpful
Cons: Climate control was not up to snuff
Location: This hotel is right on La Rambla, and close to all of the important sights in Barcelona.
Rooms were a bit small but clean and well-maintained. Location on the Rambla was ideal

Location, Staff and Comfort.Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: Location is perfect.
Cons: Restaurant was OK. More TV channels? Other than that it really felt good to stay at this hotel.
Location: This hotel is centrally located. La Boquieria is 2-3 minute walk, great for Breakfast or Lunch. Close to Metro.
I enjoyed my stay at the Le Meriden. Location is great. Rooms are clean quiet and modern. The Bed was very comfortable. Staff was excellent. Solo Traveler first time visit to Barcelona, I was very comfortable in this hotel.

Central location close to just about everything!Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Central location, quiet
Cons: Free wi-fi! Why is this just available in the lobby? This is my pet peeve with ALL hotels, not just Le Meridien.
Location: La Rambla (touristy main area), Passeig de Gracia (great dinner and shopping), Barceloneta (waterfront), Ciudad Vieja (old city), Barcelona Cathedral
After an overnight flight, it is always pleasant to find out the room is ready hours before normal check-in. So big kudos there! Room was clean and comfortable and very inviting, and even quiet considering the noise from the main street. But, more importantly, this hotel is centrally located steps from La Rambla in the heart of the old city. We could not have gotten a better location! It is close to 2 Metro stations (<5 min walk), close to the waterfront area and close to just about everything. While I don't wish to slam another hotel, we moved to the Hilton Diagonal Mar later in the week (free room with points) and were not happy with the location as it was so far out of town. Wished we had stayed at Le Meridien the whole time and will certainly book this hotel again if ever in Barcelona.

Nice hotel in La RamblaPosted Apr 3, 2014
This is my second time in this hotel and as the first it was excellent. Check in was quick and easy. I was expecting a letter so they gave it to me as check in with out me asking. The room was ready when I arrived. I asked the receptionist some questions about what to do and they gave me very good advise. LOCATION is best..right on La Rambla

romantic breakPosted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: location, cleanliness, facilities
Barcelona was fantastic for a wee romantic break, the La Meridian hotel was excellent and right on La Ramblas, I was glad that we booked a room facing the street as it was great to see the street first thing in the morning. Even though we were overlooking the main drag we were never disturbed. The hotel was a great base to explore from, the staff and room were first class and I'd recommend it to anyone.
