“Good but under construction”
Good location and service, but our junior suite had a terrible view (not as promised) since all of the rooms with good views were under construction. We had to change room since A/C was not working in floor 8(where our original room was) and were moved to floor 1. They tried to compensate us including breakfast, flowers and champagne. The room was comfortable and very clean, but could not open the curtains because of the terrible view (indoor patio with many construction workers around).
“Great location - walk to all Gaudi sites.”
The Majestic is located on one of the main streets in Barcelona. This enabled us to explore the city primarily on foot, the best way to go. All of the major Gaudi sights with the exception of Park Guell are located within walking distance or a short cab ride, if you prefer. The hotel staff was very accomodating and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, some facing Passage de Gracia with wonderful views. Hotel also had an adequate gym for those who like to maintain their daily workouts. Would definitely return to Hotel Majestic if I return to Barcelona in the future.
“Among the best in Barcelona”
Does not need 1500 words Exceptional in every aspect
“Wonderful stay! Perfect location!”
A very good hotel in an even better location. Very nice and clean hotel. Very close to everything. The only unpleasant thing is, if you would like to have a late sleep, it is kind of difficult since the Hotel is in the renovation process. After 9 am they start knocking... But this is nothing, comparing to the rest. The train from the Airport has a stop at Passeig de Gracia, which is only 1 bloc from the hotel. Very convenient.
“4.5 Star Hotel in Barcelona”
This hotel could be a 5-star hotel if the staff was a little more friendly.
“Great location”
The location of the hotel is worth the price itself, one block from Casa Batllo and three blocks from Pedrera, four blocks from Plaza Catalunya. You can easily walk to the port down Las Ramblas and there are tour bus stops two blocks away. Dozens of nice cafes and restaurants one street over. Staff was very nice and professional. The roof top has a bar and you can sit there with a Sangria and see every point of interest in the city, awesome view. Watch out if you want a king bed though. Other than that it was a great experience.
“Great City, Great Location”
Majestic Hotel was great with its location. Barcelona is a lovely city and Majestic Hotel is located very close to many attractive places. Overall state of the rooms and service was good as well.
“Hotel no so Majestic”
I was very disappointed with this hotel. We were treated like second-class citizens and were clearly given the "expedia room" - small and cramped with no view because we had not booked their website. The roof deck was ok but we waited 20 minutes for someone to notice us and to bring a drink menu. Check-in was awful - beware if you are on a red-eye from America you can not check in to this hotel before 3pm - our room was not ready until 3:40 and we received no apology. Terrible. Would not stay here again.
“Absolutely wonderful Hotel!”
The Majestic is in a great part of Barcelona- in walking distance or short cab ride to many of the sites. The hotel staff is extremely helpful! They recommended area restaurants, booked our train travel to other places in Spain, and were always pleasant. We highly recommend The Majestic but you should avoid the restaurant at the hotel.
“Luxury at a Good Price”
Loved the Majestic's lobby, and decor. Location was excellent. Good price on Expedia. Rooftop bar and patio area was smaller than expected but lovely. King bed was two twins together, which we liked, and beds were comfy. Good air conditioning. Would definitely go back.
