Good hotel, around 15 mins from main tourist area

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Expedia secret saver
Cons: Reduce high prices for food, drink and additional facilities. The hotel would feel friendlier if people used it as more than just a base.
Location: Metric bar off av. Diagonal good (3 mins walk) and excellent cafe opposite the pharmacy across the road from the main entrance
Room good and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Not in the main area but easily accessed by bus or walking. Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Good cafés and bars beae to hotel provide a good alternative to hotel meals /drinks

Excellent Staff!!

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: The staff.
The hotel is a little out of the centre, but also only a 10 minute walk from the metro, which in Barcelona is really easy to use. Staff were very friendly and helpful and always seemed willing to go further to assist you.

Clean, comfortable and large room in lovely hotel.

Posted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: Staff were excellent. Very polite and informative. Daniel deserves special mention as he always went above and beyond with great service. Thanks!
Cons: A reading lamp by the corner chair would be welcome.
Location: Walk out the door and check out restaurants in the neighborhood. Lots of options for breakfast and the coffee is fantastic. Just enjoy!
Very comfortable king bed, corner room, quiet, nice toiletries, jacuzzi tub plus separate shower, in room safe, stocked mini fridge all combined to make our four days in Barcelona a wonderful experience. Hotel is at the edge of Eixample so walking to La Ramblas or Sagrada Familia would be quite a hike. Fortunately, the transit system in Barcelona is great. Buy a ten pak travel card and it can be used on the metro and bus...easiest way to get around. Cabs are also very good value and lots of them on the street at all times...just hail one.

Nice hotel off Diagonal

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Cons: Consider changing the pillow typo/style. The long was too soft and hollow and the square one was too large to be comfortable.
Location: There are a lot of high-end clothing stores, restaurants, cafes and bars in the immediate area.
A great hotel in a very nice neighborhood. Bit of a walk to the nearest Metro station.

OK but not near tourist attractions

Posted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: Near Barcelona FC, Gym
Cons: Kettle in room, complementary drinking water.
Location: Barcelona FC, City Tour Bus is about 5-10mins away - takes you to where all the attractions are.
Hotel is said to be 5*, but feels like 3*. Room was a bit small and my biggest disappointment was the lack of kettle for tea / coffee making - even 3* hotels give this. Breakfast rates were steep and I felt they were trying to extract money at every juncture. Everything seemed to be extra - even the bottled water was part of the minibar. Spent all three days protecting my money. Would probably use again now that I know my way around Barcelona and how to get to the parts where all the action is - nothing in the vicinity near the hotel apart from Barcelona FC (Camp Nuo), which is about 30mins walk away (or easy bus ride).

Best of the best...

Posted Jan 3, 2014
Pros: The politness and greetings of the staff, cleanliness, location, the SPA, the restaurant and rich breakfast.
Cons: Nothing...never change a thing
Location: Central to all shopping areas and 500 metres to the biggest Mall in Europe, walking distance to the buses and Taxis available and reasonably priced.
Everything you can imagine for a 5 star hotel, as a frequent traveller, this is certainly the best

Really helpful staff

Posted Dec 16, 2013
Pros: Location to my office, helpful staff
Cons: The hot breakfast was cold. My colleagues said it was the best breakfast around and whilst the meat and fruit were nice - cold egg, sausage and beans
STaff were very welcoming, helped to my room with no expectation of a tip - just wanted to help. Doorman called me a cab over and helped me with my bag.
