“A great value and a pleasure”

This hotel is located in the wonderful old medieval section of Barcelona and near to a large central square from which you can take every mode of transportation to any sights you wish to see in Barcelona. It is near Las Ramblas, but far enough away to be quiet at night. The staff was fantastic and went out of their way to meet our every need. The breakfast, though relatively expensive, was outstanding - be sure to check it out as a healthy and satisfying way to start your day. We had a package deal with our air travel and so our room was a "budget" room - pretty small and the bathtub needed some cosmetic repair. The carpeting in the halls of our floor really needed to be replaced, but the rest of the hotel was very attractive. After several days in Barcelona, we traveled to France, then returned to the hotel for our last night in Barcelona before flying home. They upgraded us (without our asking) to a better room for the same price as our original room. The upgraded room was absolutely fantastic. So, if you can afford to go up a bit in price, get a room at the next cost level up from "budget." Considering its location and wonderful service, this hotel is a great value.

“Very Pleased... Great Location, lovely hotel would definately go back!!”

This hotel is perfectly situated just off of the Ramblas. It is two side streets down, which makes it perfect for getting a good sleep with none of the noise from the strip. It is also well lit down the side streets, and I felt safe walking down there. It was immacuately clean, and very comfortable for a weekend break. The rooms are on the smaller side as expected but had enough storage and a lovely bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful when asked for directions and all that we met spoke good english. We did not have optional breakfast as there is so many places to find food, especially the market for fresh fruit. Would definately stay here again if we return to Barcelona. Could not fault this hotel one bit!!

“Typical "Nh" comfort and luxury”

This was my third stay in an "Nh" hotel, and each stay has been surprisingly great. The Duc de la Victoria was no exception. Although the lobby was small, it was inviting with a pleasant front desk staff. The room was elegant and very clean, and non-smoking rooms are kept that way. The hotel's location is spectacular... steps to the Ramblas, cathedral, Gothic quarter and plenty of shops and restaurants. With all that, the hotel still has a very quiet location. The hotel's restaurant was very inviting. The only negatives were 1. that the air conditioning was not available due to the season, though it was needed because of the nice weather we had, but opening the window helped, and 2. parking is a few blocks away and lugging your baggage was a task.

“Right near all of the action”

A small hotel with all of the basics - nice staff, good water pressure, clean rooms - and a location perfect for day or night life. Rooms are typically compact but adequate. Just steps from Puerto del Sol which is central to shopping, site seeing, and the metro

“Awesome Hotel”

This hotel is Great!! The hotel is very clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and the bathroom is very spacious and has a telephone in it. The hotel is in an awesome area!!! Transportation, restaurants and shopping are downstairs as soon as you leave the hotel. We left for a couple of days to go to Stiges and were able to leave our luggage in storage until our return before we left to go back home to San Francisco. I asked that the hotel call us at 6:00 a.m. and call us a cab to go the airport and they came though with flying colors. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is AWESOME.

“Fantastico!”

We received an Expedia special rate for this hotel, so not sure what the standard rate is. Regardless, NH Duc was FANTASTICO!!! The location was perfect, 3 blocks off Las Ramblas, in the Barrio Gotico. The staff was friendly & helpful and the rooms were great. Big bathroom, cable TV w/CNN in English, comfy bed and pillows. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

The whole trip was fantastic, and i will use again. The hotel was spot on in a fantastic location. Clean beds made every day with a clean bath towel. Everything was as expected and i would love to go back.

The hotel was in a perfect location within an easy walking distance to many of Barcelona's prime attractions. It is a short stroll from Las Ramblas but in a quiet location. The hotel is very clean and the service was friendly. Would definately stay there again
