Nice for the hip and young, not for anyone elsePosted Jun 2, 2013
Pros: clean nice decor
Cons: Late night crowd
Location: Great location, very high end neighborhood, close to buses and trains.
The hotel itself was beautiful, very modern decor but a very strange layout of the room itself. It took us literally two days to figure out how to turn the lights on and off. the lighting system was a control pattern next to the bed. Hit one button and all the lights go on, hit it twice two go on, very weird. The hallways were only lit from small light in the floor , very difficult to see where you put your room key into to open your door. Also the toilet was in one alcove and to wash your hands you had to literally go through the entire bed room to another alcove to get to the sink which was with the shower. Also there is some type of night club attached to the restaurant in the main floor. Our room was on the third floor and the music playing was pretty loud and we were wakened up numerous times at 3-4 in the morning by loud drunk twenty somethings going to there rooms. Probably it would be fun for young twenty something singles, but not for us 60 year olds.

it is a nice hotel, nice spa, rooms are getting old but still clean and nice, the location is great, it has a nice bar with live music, restaurant and a small club downstairs. The rooftop os nice but not that lively.

Pros: Michelin starred restaurant
Cons: Poor quality gym.
Clean, stylish, a first class restaurant, good service. The gym is poorly equipped and far too warm to train in comfortably; overall though we loved it.

Top rate Barcelona hotel in the cityPosted Mar 31, 2013
Pros: Wonderful room and staff service
Cons: Spotty wifi in hotel room
Location: Strips away from Diagonal Metro station and in the heart of the fashion district
Located in the fashionable section of Barcelona and only a block away from Gaudi's Casa Mila and steps away from the Metro Diagonal station. The hotel is superb in every way. Service from lobby staff to maid service is first rate as well as Room amenities. A bathroom and makeup room with a separate shower room and bidet is a great touch.

A classy and chic environment.Posted Jul 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very pleasing and unique experience even for a family stay. We fully appreciated the modern, classy, and simplified setting that is opposite to a classic American style hotel setting (even 4 & 5 star ones). Would stay there again.

So minimalist, there is nothing therePosted Jun 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
if you find it necessary to apply makeup in a lighted room, this is NOT the place for you. There is only a low wattage table lamp in the bathroom. In the other side of the bathroom, (it's separated into two) there are lights under the toilet (just where you need them) and behind a wall adjacent to the shower that floods the whole room (no drain just a moving shower floor). The rest of the room was equally dark and spare. The hallway is BLACK (walls and carpeting) with only lights in the floor. Very Goth. The view from our room was of apartments with laundry hanging out of the windows. Apparently this was the better side of the hotel as the other side was noisy. It was very quiet, until a brawl broke out in the small courtyard in the wee hours of the morning. For the amount of money they charge, we certainly expected more. We'll never stay in an architect designed hotel again. While there may have been some style, there was NO SUBSTANCE!
