Short City Break

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Hotel is in a great location, just perfect.... will defiantly use this Hotel on my next trip to Barcelona! also the Wifi was an added bonus.....
Cons: Another mirror in the bedroom wouldn't go a miss (only one in the bathroom) also it can be a little bit noisy which didn't bother me....
Location: Very central to all the main attractions... Opera House, Theatre, Marina, Cathedral the list is endless, superb location.....
Had a fabulous few days in Barcelona - loved every minute spent there.....

Pros: Wrought Iron balcony on the street with lots of Spanish atmosphere. We loved it.
Our room was on Las Ramblas, a nice touch of the area. Room was clean, conveniently located and moderate in price. You can't go wrong here.

Accommodation before a cruise/

Pros: small and unique
Cons: scaffolding on the façade. looks like the work has been stopped and not completed.
The location is excellent and within walking distance from the cruise port. Also close to restaurants and Aerobus.

Wonderful location

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: lobby furniture - dirty, needs cleaning or replacement
The location was great, but request a room in the back, otherwise you will get street noise. Also, they could clean or replace their lobby furniture. The staff were wonderful. Would stay again.

Nice hotel, close to cruise port and old Barcelona

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Cons: Fix the Façade and get rid of the scaffolding.
This hotel has unique charm. It is simple yet clean and close to lots to see. Only complaint is that the façade is covered with scaffolding for work that seems to be at a standstill. Therefore, the entrance is very uninviting. It appears to have been there a long time. The staff were all excellent. Friendly, helpful, and informative. Will recommend to others and will again. An easy walk to both the cruise ships as well as the Aerobus stop.

Good Location

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Cons: Most everything
The hotel is very well located. It has seen better times. Needs updating, painting. Poor furniture. It is an ok place to spend a couple of days. Definitely needs restoration. Our room was very large for European standards. It is a "has been" place. But overall will recommend for short visits, very well located.

Value hotel near Plaza Real

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Could do with a lick of paint in various rooms
Location: Walk up to Plaza Catalunya and get a ticket for the hop on hop off bus - it is well worth while as m,uch of the joy of Barcelona is its architecture a
This is a good three star hotel centrally located with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. But it is still quiet even at the front as it is well insulated. My only complaint was that the first room they offered us was very small but on complaining they gave us a bigger room. So do ask if you have a problem.
