Perfect hotel perfect locationPosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Ideal location, helpful staff, clean
Location: Easy access to marina, mare magnum shopping centre, clubs, bars, and tour bus stops.
I only stayed here a few nights, but the staff were incredibly helpful, polite and funny! The hotel was immaculately clean, we had fresh towels every day, and could request towels from reception if needed. I would stay here again, and haven't stopped recommending it to friends

Central and friendly hotel.Posted Apr 11, 2014
We arrived tired after a very late flight and were met with friendly and efficient staff. The room was comfortable, bright and clean. It had a fridge which was really useful although a kettle would have been nice. There was some work being done on the outside of the hotel but this did not affect our stay. The hotel is very central, on La Ramblas in Barcelona so it is ideal for exploring the city and soaking up the atmosphere. We expected a little noise but it was not bad at all. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay stress free..the sweets available at reception each day were a big hit!

charming elderly hotelPosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: the location and the staff
Cons: better soundproofing
Location: a prime location in the heart of Barcelona, lots to see and do
friendly and helpful staff. The walls are very thin and some guests were noisy. Our first room had a very thin connecting door, very noisy neighbours, an impossibly uncomfortable sofa bed (our young daughters had the single beds) and a rowdy Ramblas on that first night - Staff arranged a different room without a problem , Breakfast was generous and a varied choice

Friday till Monday stay with friendsPosted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Location & price.
Cons: Soundproof doors and walls. There was a lot of noise coming from the corridor and next door rooms which woke me up and prohibited me from sleeping.
Location: Centrally located on Rambla.
Perfectly located on the Rambla about 200 m from La Bocqueria and in front of the Gothic. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are a 3star level (basic) but clean and sufficient for a short stay. Sound insulation is rather bad as walls are thin and doors are not sound proof. People talking in the corridor or closing doors is a disturbance. People showering in next room is well noticeable as well.

City breakPosted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Location, price, quiet everything one needed for a city break .
Cons: Maybe a mirror in the bedroom, the bathroom mirror soon 'steams up'.
Location: As previously mentioned easy walking distance to beach, harbour ,restaurants, cafes, bars, market(a sight not to be missed). 20mins walk to Tour buses
Ideally situated for a city break, 5 mins walk to harbour, 10mins to central square for Tour buses, Aeroport buses, Metro etc. Lots of super restaurants situated across the 'Ramblas' in Placa Reial, prices for all pockets. Thought hotel breakfast price was a bit too much ,so had breakfast 25yds away for 5.5Euros ! Staff very helpful, very clean hotel, would use it again.

City visitPosted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Fabulous hotel, great location. Staff very freindly with lots of local knowledge to share and advise on the best way to get out and about.
Location: Beach and harbour within walking distance, metro only yards away from the hotel, made it easy to get to the Nu Camp to see the game.
Great city with plenty to see and do, everything easy to get to by foot or metro. Take the bus tour to get a great relaxed view of the city, hop off and on all day long.

Nice hotel and great location.Posted Apr 6, 2014
Cons: Pity there isn't a lounge bar to unwind in after a long day sightseeing.
Location: Location great. Restaurants on the doorstep. Everything within a short walking distance.
Stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony onto La Ramblas, pity we couldn't open the windows, as there was scaffolding all across the front of the hotel. This is a historic building being refurbished and unlucky for us we were there before the work was finished. We were told the scaffolding will be gone by the end of May. It didn't spoil our stay, after all we were there to enjoy the sites of Barcelona and they are amazing. They staff were very helpful and always very pleasant.

Nice location, staff was helpful and great, heating system difficult to adjust, bathroom had a strange smell despite being clean.

Good basePosted Apr 3, 2014
Cons: The provision of a bath rather than just a shower would be beneficial
Location: If you go to Camp Nou get the Green Line from Liceu Metro to the ground
Hotel location is very convenient for central Barcelona and Liceu Metro station (Green Line to Estacio Sants and Airport). The hotel's entire frontage was scaffolded (in March 2014) but internally was fine. Easy walking distance to Placa Catalunya Marina etc - The room was clean although the shower screen leaked onto the floor but no real problem and we didnt bother to report it. To use the wifi I had to obtain a code each day from reception but it seemed to work ok.- each code lasted 24 hours. Overall, for the cost it was a good hotel,
