Great location & staff...Posted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Everything in the room!
Location: Great location but the food on La Rambla was horrible.
We loved the location and staff but that was about it. The walls in the rooms are paper thin and we could hear the people snoring next door! The bathroom sink smelled like dirty water and the drains were terrible. The rooms looked like they have never been deep cleaned & the furniture is old & worn down. The upside, the staff was wonderful & very helpful when we asked for directions! The lobby was clean & the internet was free.

Half term in Barcelona with 2 children (10 & 8)Posted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: Central location. Friendly helpful staff.
Cons: Some shelves in the bathroom, it's big enough to accommodate them. (117)
Location: This hotel is situated right in La Ramblas, the whole of Barcelona is at your disposal.
Really good central location, nearest Metro stop was Liceu & Pl. Catalunya was just ahead at the top of La Ramblas. Hotel was very clean, a little bit dated but perfect for what we needed, somewhere to sleep after busy days exploring Barcelona. The breakfast at 9€ was perfect for my boys who like to eat a lot. Sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, pastries, fruit, breads, cheeses, hams & cereals. Staff were incredibly helpful & friendly. Family room was on the 1st floor facing La Ramblas, we had no bad noise issues, just dog barking one night & usual passer by & traffic noise. The free wi-fi was very welcomed. Hot water took a while to run through in the shower but eventually gets very hot. The family room we were given was large, 2 singles beds pushed together & a double sofa bed which was all made & ready for us on arrival. Tv in the room which occupied the boys when we there. For return trips to the airport there is an Aerobus for 5€ 90 per person which leaves from Pl. Catalunya at the top of La Ramblas frequently.

Fantastic central locationPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: The staff and location.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities would be nice.
Location: The best hotel for sightseeing.
We had an amazing 3 night stay. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Maid service every day made the room beautiful to come back to for a siesta after a busy day. The room was noisy however this certainly isn't a complaint, you really feel in the thick of life on Las Ramblas which is a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, a ten minute walk to either end and a five minute stroll to the Gothic quarter. Try Bar del Pi for drinks and tapas whilst there as it was good value for money. We would certainly book this hotel again. Thank you.

Near Barri Gotic on La RamblaPosted Feb 19, 2014
This hotel has a lot of promise, but our room proved to be very noisy at night. The windows didn't provide any sound insulation. We were on the first floor (second floor, if you're using American terms), so the street noise may not be a problem on the higher levels. Otherwise the hotel staff were *excellent* and the room was adequate. The key to this hotel is location, location, location.

Excellent location on Las RamblasPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when my bag was stolen!
Cons: A mirror and a kettle in the bedroom would have been nice.
Location: Great location for arrival, and getting around. Placa Catalunya 10 mins walk to get the tourist buses, Port Vell 5mins walk, beach 10 mins.
Good restaurants & atmosphere in Placa Reial across the road. Hotel restaurant very good for tapas & paella.. Bus Turistic was brilliant for getting around and we had a Gaudi-fest. La Sagrada Familia is a must, also Park Guell.
