“Disappointing Lodging in Barcelona.”
The pension was hard to find. It was about 3 blocks from the nearest metro station and the street is not on any local map. The staff was friendly and helpful when I spoke Spanish with them. Our room was on the 6th floor and there was no elevator. The stair steps were in bad repair with tile loose or missing. The shared bath was clean as was the room. There was a small balcony with a view of an alley. There were many restaurants nearby and we easily walked to Barri Gotic and La Rambla. We were disappointed in this pension and we found many less expensive and nicer hotels, pensions and hostels throughout Spain.
