Nice Hotel with Very Friendly Staff

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: The friendly welcoming staff
Cons: Tea making facilities would have been nice
Location: Very well situated for site seeing the old part of the city just of la rambla
On arrival made to feel very welcome, all staff very helpful all hours of the day or night. Room very clean, comfortable and fairly well maintained. Well situated for site seeing the old part of the city. We had a room at the back the had no street noise, however the hotel was less noise ( people coming in late banging doors ) on the week days.

Nice hotel in the Gothic quarter.

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Good breakfast - for less than 10 euros, there was a selection of pastries, fruit, hot dishes and beverages. Great location in the Gothic quarter.
Cons: If you want a large room, make sure you indicate that when you make your reservation.
Location: Close to the old Cathedral, la Rambla, El Raval, in the Gothic Quarter, Placa Reial, La Ribera, Mercat de la Bouqueria. Good restaurants nearby.
Close to major attractions and the metro. Quiet, given its location. Helpful staff and breakfast was good value for the money.

great location, close to the Ramblas,

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: location, Staff, Garden
Cons: Bathroom, why is it that money is spent on room, decor etc, but bathrooms are poor, leaking seal so floor flooded when you had a shower,
Location: as above, wear comfy shoes as we walked miles, and definitely try the open top bus to hop on and off
Superb location, close to all areas, Ramblas, Port, shops. Hotel garden really nice for a drink and having breakfast. good selection of breakfast. We were surprised how quiet it was in the hotel as it was in a very busy part of the city. the staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. We also took advantage of the open top bus, 54 euros for us both, but really good value. Barcelona cathedral magnificent, the geese in the Cloisters amazing. We were a bit disappointed that we weren't able to see Gaudis Bascilica, but the queues were huge and in 34 degree heat decided to give it a miss. Eat away from the Ramblas as better value and more spanish.. superb Tapas.

Great location, the staff were very helpful. The room was big with plenty of open space. Mattresses were a little hard.

Great Location, Trendy Deco, Slow internet

Posted Jul 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is located just off La Rambla- about 2 minutes walk to the Metro Station and 5 minutes to La Boqueria (the enormous indoor market). The room was spacious, trendy, pleasing & clean; the service was adequate. Our room was facing the garden, and therefore very quiet. The major downside was the impossibly slow wifi, which was probably due to our room location. It took 5-10 minutes to just get on the internet - good luck if you want to upload/download anything.

Good hotel near Rambla

Posted Jul 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
Nice clean hotel perfectly located near La Rambla and subway station. We stayed for 4nights in a "Romantic room" which was nice (with a private terasse), it wasn't anything really fancy, more like a normal hotel room. Hotel staff was really busy all the time with customers and not taking responsibility on customers problems, but that was a minor issue. Breakfast was also worth eating, but since there are so many places near by that are more cost efficient I would not pay anything for it.

I recommend it, but....

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: The design and finishes.
Cons: The free wifi was terrible and the bathroom venting didn't work well enough . I am not a clean freak, but I do clean mildew when I see it.
Location: Great location to get to all the Barcelona sites. Right by a metro stop, shops, restaurants, etc.
The location is great and the room design is creative for a family of 4. There are 2 twin beds side-by-side for adults and two pull down bunks for the kids tucked behind a wall for privacy. Unfortunately the bathroom needed maintenance and a better cleaning. They also need to put 4 towels in a room designated for families. The public spaces get high marks for design.

perfect hotel

This is a lovely hotel with very helpful and pleasant staff. Right in the heart of the old city of Barcelona, walking distance to everything, or a short metro hop to further away attractions. I strongly recommend the breakfast. Very nice and very reasonable. Would stay here again if we return to Barcelona. Not cheap, but worth the money
