“Better than expected...”
Great location, service, room comfort, food. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location a block from Plaza Catalunya. The room was small but well maintained. The multilingual staff was very helpful.
“Perfect Location, Modern, Clean, High Quality”
We just spent 5 nights at the Pulitzer Hotel and LOVED our stay here. This was our first time in Barcelona and we really didn't know what to expect. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Location: Cannot beat this location. It is literally two blocks away from where the Aerobus drops you off and one block away from the main station where the hop on hop off tour buses start/stop. It's right on the side of the street that leads into Plaza de Catalunya (city center) so you're almost right in the center but it's still quiet enough because it's not directly on Las Ramblas where it's constantly noisy. Hotel Accommodations: The room was immaculate. They use very nice bedding and the decor of the room felt very modern and clean. This hotel would be at least a 4/4.5 stars even in US standards. We stayed in a room that had a little balcony and it was so nice to actually have some street noise come in when we wanted but also completely close out all sound when we didn't. I was beyond pleased staying at this hotel. Friendliness of staff: The first night, we asked for a recommendation for tapas restaurant and the hotel staff was very friendly, spoke great english, and even gave us a little voucher for a nearby restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a GREAT place to stay in Barcelona in the heart of the city. The hotel delivered on location, accommodations, cleanliness, and quality.
“Hip hotel in great location”
We had a great experience in the Hotel Pulitzer and thought the location was perfect. Upon arrival we were a bit disappointed with a room that overlooked a paved roof undergoing construction, but the front desk responded immediately to our request for a more charming view. The rooftop was an unexpected delight and the staff was very helpful with directions, reservations, cabs, etc.
“Mod-Style and Very Good Value for the Money”
Hotel Pulitzer was centrally located and stylishly decorated. The rooms were small but modern, clean and functional. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. The lobby and bar area were a wonderful place to relax in a more intimate setting than exist in most larger hotels. I would stay here again if I was to return.
“Very pleased”
We had a great stay at the Pulitzer. It was clean, quiet, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We requested and got a room with a lovely little balcony, which I recommend. Pulitzer is also in an ideal location, it was so easy to get around from there.
“Quaint Little Hotel”
The room was small with a column in the middle of it, but there was room in the closet for the suitcases. There were not many drawers if you were going to stay several nights, but a roomy chest (also big enough for small suitcases. The bath was large, apparently recently redone. It had marble floors and sink. The odd thing was the lighting. One has to insert a card like the key card to operate the lights in the room. There are switches near the door and bed for all lights after you insert the key card. The bed was comfortable. We did not eat in the dining room, so cannot comment. However, we just mentioned it was our honeymoon and immediately received a complimentary bottle of champagne! What a nice surprise. The front desk had our taxi waiting at the appointed time and were very cordial and helpful throughout our stay.
“A Gem Of A Hotel - Superb Location!”
This smallish property is close to the center of everything in Barcelona, a short walk to the Metro, the bus line, Las Ramblas, Passeig de Gracia, and the many excellent restaurants. The location is superb! The front desk staff are professional yet not stuffy, and they are very helpful. The bar staff are friendly and make some fabulous drinks. The lounge is lovely and the rooftop bar amazingly beautiful on a summer or fall night. The restaurant has a wonderful breakfast buffet (enjoy the patio for breakfast!), and although we did not get to have dinner there, I hear they serve a great meal. Our room was quite spacious for European standards, and had all the amenities we needed. The bathroom was large, well lit, well equipped. The bed was quite comfortable, and the linens met our expectations. The cleaning staff were magical in that they always seemed to know when we stepped out, and the room was always perfect on our return. Overall, the room was quite satisfactory for our 8 night stay. If you are a traveler who wants a mid price point hotel that is well maintained, wants good service from nice people, wishes to be close to the center of Barcelona....the Pulitzer is it. I highly recommend this hotel! We'll be back again next year.
“Excellent location and service”
The hotel is exceptionally well located within a short walking distance to the Barri Gotic, the Rambla, the Aerobus and Metro, the Turistic bus stop, and many good restaurants. Very clean and excellent breakfast buffet. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, although a bit small and without special view, but it was quiet for sleep.
