2 friends in Barcelona

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: cleanliness, price
Cons: having money to make change for 50's and 100's.
Location: nothing really if you're on foot, we rented bikes for the trip so it was fine
The hotel was decent. Very small rooms, no English channel on the TV, seemed like a dorm style of room, the rooftop pool was nice though. the 5 euro breakfast at the attached restaurant was brutal, we did it the first day then did other things for breakfast after that. The staff was nice, annoying that they didn't have enough money in the til to change a 50 euro bill... Location is average at best.

Nice,cheap basic hotel

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: friendly staff good price
Cons: basic facilities.there was no kettle, toaster or cork screw
Location: good location about 15 to 20 min walk to the beach and most of the main attractions
Mainly student accomadation, friendly staff but very small basic rooms.Would also recommend getting taxis back at night as me and my partner were mugged one night about 5 mins from the hotel.

Great place

Its ideal if you want somewhere to crash and explore Barcelona, has a pool on the roof to relax at and a cafe down stairs open all day. Close to two metro stations and the tram. But its only a 20 min walk into town or the beach and its close to the port for all the clubs on a night if that's your thing. There's your own kitchen on your floor with a lounge and a tv and you get your own separate fridge space.

Great hotel, only a small problem when you leave your bags if you want to get changed before your flight this is not really possible. There is a cafe you can change in but the staff there make it very difficult for you to do that.

Good value for money

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Room smallish but clean and comfortable. Well situated (short metro ride or 15min walk to town). Reception staff polite and helpful. Nice to have shared kitchen/lounge area, but some equipment not available (e.g. no kettle).

Clean, good facilities, quiet and excellent value.

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Great facilities for self catering.
Cons: The pillows weren't very comfy
Location: Fairly central, metro station nearby, 20 minutes walk to the Sagrada de Familia.
The hotel is listed a hostel but I'm not sure why unless it's because it has cooking and washing up facilities in your room. The room was clean enough and the facilities ample. There was a free safe, air conditioning, microwave, hob, sauce pans and a little seat and desk. I had a very quiet stay, no late night revellers or noise from other rooms. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. There is a cafe for a continental breakfast at a reasonable 5 euros. The metro station is a few minutes walk away. I would definitely stay here again, exceptional value for money.

A Good Place to Be

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Wonderful helpful staff. Accesable to metro.clean and well laid out. Although large it was well sectioned off, so could stay in own area.
Cons: Maybe more emphasis on noise restriction and awareness at night. Not everybody wants to out and woken up about 1.AM!!
Location: Barcelona. Wonderful Cathedral. old town district, great shops, great to find a C and A sadly missed in London.Good beach.
As a "golden oldie" we were concerned about going to a place mainly for students. We had no worries except a bit of noise some nights. The staff especially Eugenie were excellent, couldn't do enough for us. We recommend the residencia.. Rooms were basic but very clean we had T.V. and on siute facilities. Cooking arrangements/fridges etc a plus. A bout 15 minutes from beach, but taxi very reasonable. Pool small (on the roof) could have more seating facilities.

Good option for a short trip if you're on a budget

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Good experience overall. Rooms are small, but you'll be fine if you're easygoing or staying for a few days. We found the bathroom in bad condition. However, the manager took care of the situation immediately and left the room in very good condition. Didn't go to the pool. Laundry works fine and it's very organized. The whole building is clean, service is really nice, and it is close to different turistic attractions. Metro is just few blocks away. Breakfast is decent, coffee is good, but don't expect too much.
