The Royal is very comfortable and clean. Newly refurbished room. Helpful staff, excellent breakfast at an extra discounted cost (worth while). The best location ever. Very close to shops, restaurants/bars and metro. Would go back tomorrow. Barcelona is a beautiful city.

Hotel was exactly where we wanted to be. Staff friendly & helpful. Rooms fresh & clean. Beds very comfortable & good quality linen & towels. Las Ramblas is a great area which has loads of bars, restaurants, entertainment etc & is just a 2 minute walk to board the Bus Touristic (which you must try). The port and beach were around a half hour walk away, but a regular bus (no 59) goes from just outside the hotel. Great breakfast next door - try the scrambled eggs! Would go back tomorrow, one of the most beautiful and amazingly clean cities i've been to.

“Well Worth it”

What an excellent find! The location is superb, the Staff very helpful and courteous. For being in the heart of Barcelonas La Rumbla the rooms were very clean and quiet. The hotel is close to every thing lots to do and see. Close to the public transportation and a fairly inexpensive taxi ride to and from the airport. If I am ever in Barcelona again I will absolutely stay at the Royal.

“Amazing city break”

Royal Ramblas is very central and convenient for seeing all major sights. It is two minutes walk from Catalunya Square which is a main terminus for tourist buses and public transport. The beach is within walking distance. The hotel is clean and comfortable. I would love to return.

“Great Hotel - Great Location”

We were exhausted at check in from our overnight flight from the US. We arrived at 11 am hoping to be able to leave our bags with the front desk while we went to find lunch. To our surprise, the rooms were ready and we were able to check in immediately. The rooms were very clean and the service was great. This hotel is ideally located in the Las Ramblas area, conveniently near shopping, markets, and just around the corner from the Hard Rock Cafe. We were very impressed with the staff, service, cleanliness, and the food.

My wife & I stayed 5 nights in August.Staff very nice & helpful.Hotel well maintained & very clean.Booked Superior Ramblas View room.Room & bath good size,well appointed with huge closet, AC,safe,frig,table & chairs, sound-proofed windows that open.Good location.Supermarket next door,short walk to Starbucks,DD,Hard Rock,Metro,Tour Buses.Would definitely return.

“A top city break and value for money hotel in the centre of Barcelona”

The hotel is right in the heart of Barcelona and in my opinion the only place to stay directly on the Ramblas. The hotel reception does not do justice to the overall standard of the hotel accommodation which I believe has recently been refurbished. We stayed in room 117 (standard room at the rear of the hotel) which was on the first floor and looked out onto a court yard-no view. The room was excellent with plenty of space, separate dressing area and a well equiped bathroom. Fridge/minibar, aircon and safe etc. and good lighting. I think it must have been quiter in this type of room rather than a room overlooking the Ramblas. The breakfast was good value at 9 euros with a good selection of hot and cold foods- many people seemed to make up sandwiches for their lunch!. Would recommend the official tour bus to get around. We chose a 2-day pass at 29 euros which was only an extra 9 over a daily ticket. We visited all the Gaudi buildings and Guell park, sagrida familia, cathedral which were stunning and not to be missed as was the harbour and beach areas. A top place to visit 5-days with lots to see and do. Walk down the Ramblas which was hectic all day long, past the market on your left down to Christopher Colubus monument then across to the harbour then past the museum down to the beach stopping off on the way for a coffee or beer. WE had a taxi to and from the airport which around 34 euros each way. A top, top city break and would visit again.
