Excellent location with a fabulous breakfast

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: location, view, breakfast and the fact that the hotel had been updated.
Cons: nothing
Location: Fabulous location on the La Rambla and only meters away from the subway. Many enjoyable sites are within walking distance, 1-2 miles.
Everything was wonderful about our stay except for the fact that the A/C didn't work for 20 hours. It actually wasn't needed since the temps. were in the low 70s. Our room overlooked the La Rambla and the noise was minimal during the day, evening and most of the night. But, since we slept with the window open, we heard some brief loud voices in the early morning hours two mornings.

Excellent central location

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: Staff, decor, central location.
Cons: Buffet breakfast disappointing.
Location: City tour 5 mins away. All main attractions very accessible. Hundreds of restaurants. Fantastic food market 10 mins away and supermarket 2 mins.
Able to visit all the main attractions either by foot or wide variety of public transport. Ramblas extremely busy but excellent soundproofing meant we were never disturbed.

very good location

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: The location but you paid a lot for it. The room was very nice but again expensive
Cons: staff attitude towards older people and definitely a separate area for guests to eat.
Location: a very vibrant location in the centre of everything. lots to see and do.
I was disappointed there was no offer of help with my suitcase when I checked in or out. I am quite elderly and felt overlooked. I paid extra for a Ramblas room but because the window was quite high I could only see the view when standing up.There was no special area for guests to have a main meal the only option was their pizza restaurant open to everyone off the street.and very busy.

Excellent hotel ideally placed right on La Ramblas

Posted May 28, 2015
Pros: A very high standard of room layout and decoration
Location: The hotel is ideally located at the head of La Ramblas and centrally located for walking to the vast majority of sites.
An excellent hotel situated at the head of La Ramblas right in the centre of all the action and within easy reach of all the sites and areas. The hotel is very close to Placa de Catalunya where the excellent Aerobus arrives and departs for the airport. Upon arrival at the hotel we received a room upgrade as it was my birthday and wedding anniversary. The staff were very professional and easy going. The hotel breakfast is buffet style with a wide range of food available to suit all tastes. Breakfast starts at 7.30am which is great for beating the crowds at the nearby sites as well as getting to the Aerobus stop for any early flights. We enjoyed every minute of our stay !

Love the location and the very modern decor.

Everything went smoothly with our reservation. The breakfast is a bargain and quite good and the place turns into a restaurant in the evening and quite good as well.

Perfectly placed for a city break

Posted May 23, 2015
Staff are polite and friendly and the hotel, whilst it may look a bit functional from the outside, is a perfect oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city and an ideal basis to strike out and explore and in a great place to enjoy the nightlife/restaurants......can be a little noisy late at night if you have a room facing Las Ramblas but overall would recommend without hesitation.

Fantastic location

Posted May 17, 2015
Location: Close to everything - restaurants, bars, shopping, sightseeing tours. Absolutely central.
Location, location, location! This hotel has the best place to stay in Barcelona. And considering you're on the main street, you don't hear any noise in your room.

ROYAL RAMBLAS

Pros: POSITION AND STAFF
Cons: AS ABOVE
Location: EVERYTHING
LOVELY MODERN HOTEL. NO DRAWERS IN THE BEDROOM, LIGHTING QUITE BAD, NOT GOOD FOR PUTTING MAKE UP ON. ALSO NO MIRROR AT DRESSING TABLE. THE ROOM WASNE CLEANED VERY WELL, MARKS LEFT ON TRAY WHERE KETTLE WAS AND NO MILK LEFT FOR US BOTH TIMES SHE CLEANED. HAD TO ASK FOR IT FOR US AND OUR FRIENDS ROOM. ALSO NOT ENOUGH COATHANGERS IN WARDROBE HAD TO ASK FOR EXTRA.FRONT DESK STAFF WERE FAB AND VERY HELPFUL. WOULD RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL FOR THE POSITION.
