2 minute walk from Sagrada and a view...

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Would gladly recommend this hotel/apartment. Very clean, modern and comfortable with balcony and a good view of the Sagrada Familia.
Hotel - Would gladly recommend this hotel/apartment. Very clean, modern and comfortable with balcony and a good view of the Sagrada Familia, which is within 2 minutes walk. We had a short stay but could easily have managed weeks in the apartment. Roof top pool area and sun terrace really nice and well kept. Staff were very helpful. Area - A pleasant and calm area with easy access to the metro and buses, nice park area/green, traditional restaurant combined with well know names Mcd's, Burger king, KFC, Costa and Starbucks. Possible better for families, couples and those that have visited Barcelona before. Barcelona as a city is wonderful, feel I didn't quite get to see enough and this was our second visit. Do prebook attractions before you go if you can, it does save on queying and disappoinment not all attractions are open every day and have limited numbers, timed events or are guided tours in different languages etc. One thing to note is that on 'windy days' if you have booked a Sagrada Familia tower visit (The Nativity or The Passion) these can be cancelled, the staff do confirm refund back on cards etc. Don't leave Barcelona without visiting the Sagrada Familia even if only from the outside. There's something for everyone in the Sagrada area and Barcelona as a whole, it does depend on your interests. Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, Passieg de Gracia - area packed with architecture, shopping. Barric Gothic/Old City area, marina, Las Ramblas, the list is endless...

Pros: Staff very friendly, helpful and informative.
Cons: Apartment was expensive for the size and facilities offered.
The apartment was not as luxurious as we had expected taking into account the advertising and the price - the facilities were acceptable but furnishings were quite basic (IKEA ?). The proximity to Sagrada Familia was useful and there were plenty of small shops, supermarkets, bars, and restaurants nearby. Barcelona is a very busy city attracting plenty of tourists from all over the world, petty crime is rife - nearly had a handbag stolen one day and actually pick-pocketed the next !

Sistemazione perfetta

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: Tutto
Cons: Nessuno
Location: Tutto perfetto

Clean, comfy apartment. Excellent central location

This apartment was perfect for a weekend or longer stay in Barcelona. Perfect for the Metro and sightseeing buses. Lovely avenue Gaudi nearby with places to eat and drink inside and out. Perfect balance between quiet for down time but near to the hustle bustle if you want it. You can get to the beach from here easily by metro or a 15 min walk /tram. Supermarkets and cash machine near as well as boulangerie type bakers for breakfast. Staff could not have been more helpful answering all questions and recommending restaurants etc. it made for a perfect weekend for a family of 4.

Sensation Sagrada Familia

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: Sort the overpowering cooking smells coming from the rear of the property a real problem and such a shame for an otherwise great apartment.
The apartment was in a good location, clean, and ideal for a family with two teen boys. The beds were comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly. The only draw back was the terrible smells of cooking that came from the restaurant kitchens situated at the rear of the building, unfortunately where the bedrooms are located.! A real shame as it was rather overwhelming and made you feel rather ill! The rooftop pool and lounging areas are very nice and an added bonus for a central location.

Home Away From Home

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Modern accommodations, amenities, location and staff.
Location: Just about anything you need is located right outside the building or a short Metro ride away.
We had the pleasure of staying at Sensation Sagrada familia while on spring break vacation from the U.S. As a family of four, with two 11 year old boys, it was a perfect choice for us. The location: Grocery, restaurants, fruit stands, pharmacy, etc. is right outside the building. Sagrada Familia is right around the corner. The Metro: is also right around the corner and connects you to anywhere you need to go. Purchase a T-10 card, you will be using the Metro a lot! Wifi: works very well. We had 6 devices all working at the same time with no problems. The Staff: amazingly helpful and friendly. Accommodations: we had a two bedroom apartment. Modern Ikea furnishings. Comfortable. The kitchen has European appliances (microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher) which all worked well and they supply the cleaning tabs for the dishwasher, liquid dish soap, and trash bags. Dishes, pots and pans are all provided. Laundry and detergent are available on the 5th floor free of charge.
