Nice, close enough to amenitiesPosted Oct 19, 2014
Nice, people are friendly but very busy even in low season but the front desk is helpful and nice. The hotel is a little bit older than what you can see on the Internet, the pool is super tiny.

Great Hoel near the city centre.Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Rooms were very spacious and the bed was fantastic. Bathroom was large and spotlessly clean. Swimming pool on roof with towels provided during stay.
Cons: Breakfast facilities were good but service a bit slow.
Location: Located near the city centre (about 5 minutes walk from Catalunya square and Ramblas). Great for shopping and eating out.
Had a wonderful time in Barcelona. The hotel was close to city centre and all transport links. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Many of the sights were within walking distance and area is well lit at night and quite safe.

Good hotel in good locationPosted Oct 12, 2014
This hotel is very nice, in a good location, only 3 blocks away from the centre and a little further to Las Ramblas. The rooftop bar & pool is fabulous. I would certainly stay here again but wouldn't bother with the club room as the pastries were a very poor selection & I only saw 4 apples over our 5 night stay.

Great city hotelPosted Oct 6, 2014
Stayed here for a weekend break. the hotel is ideally located for exploring all the delights that Barca has to offer. It is close enough to the hustle and bustle if thats what you are looking for, but it is also not too close so there is plenty peace & quiet in the surrounding areas. 5 mins walk from Passeg de Gracia station for the airport train, maybe 10 mins walk from Placa Catalunya. the rooftop bar is gorgeous and reasonably priced. A nice quiet place for tapas & a few afternoon drinks ! All staff were very courteous and helpful.

Central Location to all Barcelona AttractionsPosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Its location and amenities - especially the "Club" extras. The bed was a king size and appeared to be as long as it was wide - huge and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing immediately comes to mind - we had a very enjoyable stay.
Location: See my earlier comments. Two attractions near the ocean are the castle and the gardens and the re-developed seaside - both are recommended to visit.
We stayed for five nights in September 14 in a Club room on the 5th floor. The amenities offered of nescafe coffee and pastries was a great way to start a day of tourist activity in Barca. The location to all major attractions such as the Familia Segrada, La Rambla, restaurants and shopping and the seaside suburbs was a major reason for selecting the Silken Gran Hotel Havana. There are many tapas bars and restaurants in the local area and we tried many - all were very good value and the staff were without exception, professional, knowledgable about their city and very friendly. Overall, we both really enjoyed the hotel and the city and its attractions.

Stunning, friendly, elegant hotelPosted Oct 4, 2014
This hotel is very well located, not far from the main square Placa De Catalunya - it is far enough to be nice and quiet at night but only about a 10 minute walk to the main square. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating - even helping us book tickets for FC Barcalona Stadium Tour. The reception area where you can sit with drinks is lovely and cosy! The breakfast facilities were very good! The rooftop pool are bar area was excellent! I would defiantly recommend this hotel!!

Pros: Good food excellent staff
Location: Attractions nearby
Very good hotel within walking distance to lots of attractions but only disappointment during our stay was not being able to get into Sagrada Familiar due to mile long queues.

Central easy to access tourist attractions. Safe outside environment. Friendly helpful staff, particularly liked the roof terrace . very good value! Breakfast buffet wide variety of choice catering for all dietary needs. Altogether a positive experience! Would have have been nice to have an iron but was given one on request.
