“PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN BARCELONA”

MY FRIEND AND I WENT IN A MEDITERRENEN CRUISE, BUT WANTED TO STAY IN BARCELONA FOR A FEW DAYS AND I MADE THE RESERVACION ONLINE BECAUSE READING ABOUT STAYING IN LA RAMBLAS WAS VERY NOISE. THIS HOTEL IS HALF A BLOCK FROM LA RAMBLAS, EXTREMLY CLEAN, GREAT SERVICE FROM THE FRONT OFFICE AND ALL THE STAFF, INCLUDING AT BREAKFAST, I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN THE NEXT TIME I VISIT BARCELONA AND RECOMEND TO ANYONE.

“Great Location”

Our stay was very pleasant. The front desk personnel were very friendly, helpful and fluent in English. The hotel was convenient to Las Ramblas and walking distance to many sights and restaurants. The inroom toiletries were nice. The rooftop area could be improved.

“Impressed”

Silken Ramblas is just a few feet away from the hustle and bustle of the main street Las Ramblas. This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in quite some time, even considering the ones in the states. Traveling overseas you are not sure what surprise you will find when you arrive at your hotel or room, but with Silken you will be pleasantly surprised. The hotel is maintained in pristine condition - very clean, modern decor & furniture, huge beds, comfortable rooms, awesome bathrooms, and helpful & friendly staff. Overall would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Barcelona and would like a nice, quite, and affordable hotel.

“Excellent stay.”

The Silken Ramblas was a perfect place for my 18 yo daughter and I to stay and see the sights of Barcelona. It is conveniently located one block off Las Ramblas, which made it easy to get to the main attractions. Virtually all the old city tourist sites were within easy walking distance - including the Columbas statute, the peer, Placa Catalyuna, Mercat Bouqert, Picasso Museum (did NOT care for this), the Roman ruins, three beautiful cathedrals, Casa Botilla, La Pedrero and the charm of the Barri Gotic. We walked to Mont Juic, which was a ways to walk but VERY 'do'able, and to and from La Sagrada Familia. Again, a long walk but very enjoyable as you saw many things along the way. We did take the Metro to Parc Guell and back, which was easy to navigate. The hotel room was clean, nicely decorated and had a beautiful bathroom. The bed and linens were excellent. The window had NO view, but we were tired by the time we got in each night anyway. It had two coffee packets w/hot water pot for the morning and a mini-bar fridge-we bought yogurt from the grocery store and kept it there for breakfast. It had a safe in the room and excellent maid service. Over all, a great place to stay! I would definitely recommend this hotel to a family or friend.

“Modern and Convenient”

This hotel is located right next to the famous La Ramblas street. With modern decor and cleanliness of the room, I would definitely come back if I happened to visit Barcelona again. Comfortable beds and nice size bathroom. Staff were nice and helpful. One small hiccup is the view from the room-there is none. Considering it's located between buildings in the middle of downtown, I did not expect much. However, the view of the city from the top floor was amazing though. Definitely recommend.

“very nice hotel in a great location”

The hotel was perfect for my wife and me.We stayed a week and walked all over Barcelona. The location was perfect...one half block from the Ramblas on a relatively quiet street. We even sat and drank some wine in the roof area (it was too cold to use the swimming pool). We also enjoyed the sunsets from that location.

“Would definitely go back”

Business type hotel one block off Las Ramblas. Nothing special, but clean and staff was multi-lingual so conversation is easy. Easy walk to and/or easy metro access to anywhere you want to go in Barca. One point- the tv shows are in Spanish, German and French. Only show in English was news. Didn't bother me, but I thought it interesting.

“Great stay at the Silken Ramblas”

Great location off of the famous Las Ramblas and very close to Barcelona's fantastic metro system. The hotel staff was well-dressed, courteous, and helpful. The lobby was impressive considering the price of the room. The room was a little small but not unusual for a European city. The bed and bedding (pillows, sheets, comforter) were very comfortable and comparable to what you'd expect in a more expensive hotel. The room had a flat screen TV. The bathroom was equally nice with beautiful tiling, nice towels, and a basket of toiletries.

“Use this hotel”

This hotel was easy to get to, it was a 5 minute drive from the train station and accessible easily by the Metro. It was right on the Catalunya Square and the Ramblas itself. It was a beautiful hotel with English-proficient desk clerks. We were expecting (and paid for) a standard double room but instead got a 2-room suite. It was more than we needed but it was a wonderful stay in Barcelona. I recommend enthusiastically.
