“Noisy but in a good location”

The Good: The hotel was in a very good location. Room was small but clean. Bed was comfortable. Some staff was nice others aloof. The Bad: Rooms in front are extremely noisy. Requested a room change and got it. Really no food in hotel but food and coffee were close by. When I checked out they tried to charge me for a local call that I did not make. I refused to pay. I told them to talk to the room cleaner. Soap was so small you could hardly use it. Shampoo the same way. All TV channels are in Spanish. Overall the price was good, service ok, location good, close to trains, taxis, and buses. Probably would not stay there again only due to the noise from the road.

“great location, but wear earplugs.”

The room was clean and the staff helpful in storing our luggage while we explored the city before checking in and after checking out. Only complaint was that it was very noisy from the metro stop down below. Great location. Our price did not include a breakfast, which I thought was to be included. Staff was helpful with directions and taxi.

“In The Middle Of Everything”

Great choice for the sightseer. With the metro stop right outside the lobby, this hotel was minutes from everything. In the heart of the Gothic Quarter, two blocks from the Cathedral, a five minute walk to Las Ramblas, a ten minute walk to the waterfront. On Placa De L'Angel, with outdoor cafe seating...perfect for breakfast or a light snack. Service was efficient, if not overly gracious. The staff was helpful with directions. The room was spotless, if a little small by American standards, but had all amenities. Best of all was the balcony overlooking the pedestrianized street below. Noise not a major issue from adjoining rooms, but remember...you are in the heart of the city and a highly touristed area. Great little bakery on the ground floor for grab and go snacks, an organic grocer across the street. Don't miss the gelato at the cafe around the corner on Via Leitana. The Taverna Brisbe, on the Placa de Seu (Cathedral) was a reasonable, delicious choice for tapas or full dinner. Take the train (six euro and 35 minutes away) to Sitges to enjoy the beaches for the afternoon.

“Awesome time in Barcelona”

The hotel is great, old style with upgraded facilities, the HOtel is over 100 years old,, its located in a great location with walking distance to la rambla, tapa bars , and the cathedral, for the price they charge you cannot find a better deal, gargalos hotel group owns it and all their hotels were really cool and modern, the newer they were the higher the price.The staff was very friendly at all hours and we really didn't have an issue we could complaint about. overall it was a great experience and would recommend the Hotel Group to travellers from around the world.

“Great location, decent hotel”

This hotel is great. Obviously the location can't be beat. Whether you are interested in tourist attractions or just getting a taste of the local restaurants/bars/shopping, everything is right outside the front door (literally). Yes, the rooms are small and old, but that is just how Europe is in general. The shower and the toilets worked and were cleaned every day, and that was enough for me. The service was decent too. They answered all my questions, gave me no attitude, and even checked in with me about little things. They did not shower me with love like a relative from Georgia, but they were indeed polite and courteous.

“Great Hotel close to Everywhere but..”

Lot of Noise, unless you don't mind, no breakfast unless you pay more for the stay. But you can get breakfast in a lot of places that are surrounded. Clean, but need more cleanninness. Overrall, great Hotel to stay. Get the tour bus is worth it!!!
