“Wonderful location! Would Stay here again!”

Hotel is very clean with European sized rooms with a friendly English speaking staff! Should have a much rating than 2 stars! Very close to every thing - Cathedral, shops, Tain station, LaRamblas, Port, Zoo, Cruise ships and public transportation. Everything is within walking distance! Can be noisy at night if staying in a room on the square. Great restaurants near-by. Would stay here again!

“In The Middle Of Everything”

Great choice for the sightseer. With the metro stop right outside the lobby, this hotel was minutes from everything. In the heart of the Gothic Quarter, two blocks from the Cathedral, a five minute walk to Las Ramblas, a ten minute walk to the waterfront. On Placa De L'Angel, with outdoor cafe seating...perfect for breakfast or a light snack. Service was efficient, if not overly gracious. The staff was helpful with directions. The room was spotless, if a little small by American standards, but had all amenities. Best of all was the balcony overlooking the pedestrianized street below. Noise not a major issue from adjoining rooms, but remember...you are in the heart of the city and a highly touristed area. Great little bakery on the ground floor for grab and go snacks, an organic grocer across the street. Don't miss the gelato at the cafe around the corner on Via Leitana. The Taverna Brisbe, on the Placa de Seu (Cathedral) was a reasonable, delicious choice for tapas or full dinner. Take the train (six euro and 35 minutes away) to Sitges to enjoy the beaches for the afternoon.

“Excellent location, would stay there again”

The hotel was in an excellent location, right near the Cathedral, the Picasso Museum and the stops for some of the open air bus tours. The reception area and the room were very clean and tidy. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, even offering us advice on which bars would be best to watch a football game in. The street outside our room was a little noisy at times, but as we were tired from so much sightseeing it didn't bother us too much. We did not eat in the hotel, as there were so many good restaurants nearby, so cannot comment on the quality of the food. I would stay at this hotel again.

“Perfect location!!!”

This hotel is wonderfully located, within walking distance to everything. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is travelling to Barcelona for a short break and doesn't want to spend alot on accomodation. It is a little noisey at night, but pack earplugs and you will be fine.

“Had a Fantastic Time”

Hotel was superb. It was clean, the staff were very helpful and it is right smack bang in the middle of where you want to be. When you walk out the front door, the entrance to the subway is right below you. Could not fault it !!!

Great location. In front of the hotel is JaumeI metro entrance. The people at the front desk were very nice. The room was clean and confortable with a balcony to the street. Good air conditioning. In another words great hotel and excellent service.

“Location, location, location”

We had stayed at this hotel in 2001. It is located in the Gothic area, good underground stop, many places to eat. It is the most reasonably priced hotel in its class in the area. The desk staff was helpful although at times not as knowledgable as we would have liked. Would definitely stay there again. The hotel will be completely redone in 2-3 years.

“Perfect location”

Suizo is in the perfect location to explore Barcelona. Right in the beautiful gothic quarter, close to great restaurants and La Rambla. The transport links are excellent and the tour buses run from very close by and are well worth using. The hotel was clean and I had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the narrow streets below. Great value for money. I didn't have breakfast, though there is a lovely bakery right next door which is well worth a visit for breakfast and for sweet treats. I would definitely stay at Suizo again.

“Would stay again!!”

Excellent value for money. Central position near metro station, cafes, restaurants and shops. Situated in a lovely vibrant part of the city. Hotel clean and staff very helpful. Beds comfortable. Rooms small but perfectly adequate. Air conditioning. Only local TV stations - but who needs TV when there is so much to do and see nearby. Would certainly recommend hotel and go again! (went as a party of six ladies - sharing three rooms)

“great location and friendly atmosphere”

the hotel has a perfect location for sightseeing. just in front of the Jaume metro station entrance, 15mins walk to the sea and la ramble. lots of cosy cafes in the neigbourhood. just in the hstorical centre of BCN. it's an old building so don't expect too much, nevertheless it's clean, stuff is friendly and the overall condition is great for that price! go for it!
