Hotel is modern, spotlessly clean. Staff speak good English and are very helpful with directions, buses to catch etc. We asked for a quiet room and got just that, at the back of the hotel, not a sound on a night, slept like logs!turn right out of the hotel then 1st street on the right there's a lovely bar called Seven Sins, does the best mojito ever, also has live music. Las Ramblas 10 minute walk. Open top bus tour was great, but it's a very walkable city. Nou Camp about 55 min walk, well worth seeing. Take heed re watching wallets, bags etc, a guy tried to steal my husbands wallet but we were aware of what was happening, we also saw it happen to others. Gothic quarter has some lovely restaraunts if you get sick of all the tapas. If you ask for a large beer in the ramblas be prepared for it to be VERY large!

“Sunotel Central Barcelona”

This hotel could not have been in a better position - two minutes from the airport drop off and Universitat metro station, and only 5 minutes walk from Place Catalunya and the top of the Ramblas. Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were lovely and had great air-con. Roof terrace and pool were a welcome break after spending all day walking round the sights. Would definitely recommend and like a previous reviewere, I would not even consider looking for another hotel if I get the chance to go back. Ten out of ten!

“Great value”

This is a brand new hotel. I had read a couple of poor reviews about building work, but thankfully this is now complete. I would say this is great value, really conveniently located, clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were also pretty helpful and friendly. There is a pool on the roof which looks great, but will not be open until the summer. I would choose it again if I went back.

ive stayed in alot of hotels in barcelona and this is actually one of the best for comfort ,cleaness and friendly staff the pool and jacuzzi are exellent and spotless very modern decore,exellent staff i cannot understand why a few travellers knocked this hotel as it is one of the best value for money hotels ive stayed in and ive stayed in quiet afew in barcelona next time i,ll be booking my bed at this hotel 10 out of ten here for me

“Ideally situated for all the main city attractions”

Couldn't really fault the hotel although we didn't have breakfast there so can't comment on the food. It was almost the perfect location and near to numerous bars and restaurants serving good reasonably priced food/tapas. Hotel was only 5 mins walk from Placa Catalunya which is the central place from where you enter La Ramblas and catch the tour buses.

very impressed with hotel. great central location just 5 minutes walk from les ranblas. nice and quiet and relaxing. very helpful and friendly staff. if I go to Barcelona again I won't even bother looking for another hotel I'll just book this one again !

Sunotel Central was very close to Barcelona sights and subway. Staff very pleasant, recommend it.

“Wonderful trip”

The hotel is within easy walking distance from Placa de Catalunya (from where the Bus Turistic departs & a tourist information office is also located). La Rambla is just off the square. The room was clean & well presented & the staff were friendly & polite.
