“Cosy place near Aveniguda Diagonal”

With Barcelona always popular in mid February,due to huge exhibitions held, I found this hotel close to city center and very comfortable. Of course, room is quite small, but clean. It is ideal place to spend a night, and the hotel is beneficially located to city main roads. Wi-Fi Internet is working ok. This was enough.

“Good value”

Although this hotel is not in the center it is well deserved by the bus and has a metro station very near. Rooms are new and are well equipped. At the reception people are just OK, they might not seem very friendly but they'll help you if required.

“Great location on a budget”

I was pleasantly surprised upon checking into the Hotel Via Augusta - the hotel is obviously undergoing refurbishment, and we had a back facing room that had obviously been recently renovated. The location is a mere 20 metres from the Gracia train station, which in itself is only 3 stops from the centre of the city. There was a very reasonably priced buffet breakfast available from 7:30 to 10:30 daily and snack vending machines for other times of the day.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was a nice stay. Room was a bit on the small side but it was expected. About a 5 min walk to the Hard Rock Cafe and 7 min walk to the City Center. The staff spoke enough English to answer any question I had.

“Would go back to the same hotel.”

I'm a practical person, so the hotel suited me just fine. It was clean, had all the necessities that I needed and a great breakfast. I used their computer to keep in contact with friends and was taken care of by the staff very well. This hotel however, is not designed for you linger and pass the day. It's a place for you to sleep, shower, have your breakfast and go and explore the city and country side. For it's purpose, I was satisfied and very comfortable. “A little far out”

I think the hotel was nice with a good entrance. The room was extremely small with few television stations all in spanish that gave me no reason to turn on the TV before sleeping. The bed was comfortable, but again very small, and god forbid I roll too far in my sleep. I will have say you get what you pay for, and it was good enough for that. The location is about forty minutes walk from where everything is going for tourist, so it would be good to have a mode of transportaion other than your feet.

“Hotel for Site Seeing”

Nice hotel, rooms are quite small but somewhere to sleep rather than to leisure. Shower was very good and room was very clean. Location of hotel was ideal near La Ramblas and Gothic Quater. Staff could speak some English and were helpful if needed. Overall nice, but only for site seeing holiday not leisure.

There are better and cheaper options.
