“This hotel was amazing!”

I can't wait to return to Barcelona and stay at the W. The room was well appointed with a gorgeous view of the Mediterranean. The location was convenient to the beach, restaurants, shopping and entertainment (casino and clubs). The bed was comfortable, room spacious and shower heavenly. We took advantage of room service, the fitness center and business center, all of which were excellent. Loved the staff, always polite and accommodating. The concierges on duty were top notch and made key recommendations to us on transportation and restaurants. The front desk staff allowed us an early check in, which was helpful after a long international flight. The W was a great value all the way around.

I love the Arts Hotel but now have a problem as the W Hotel also sets a very high standard. Both hotels offer exceptional service with great staff. The location of the W offers fabulous beach and sea views. The room was large and very modern. Minor irritations were having to pay for internet access and no plug adapters in the room. The gym is big and well equipped. A highlight was watching the bar staff work a very busy Saturday evening - the best and happiest team I have ever seen in action. This hotel lives up to the brand's reputation.

“Pure luxury”

This is the best hotel we've ever stayed in, we spent a bit extra on a "fabulous" room and it was definitely worth it. We requested a room on a high floor with a good view and we certainly got that, we were on the 21st floor and had the most breathtaking view. The room had everthing we needed and modern which we loved. Small problem was that the toilet is separated from the rest of the room by a glass door so if you're sharing a room with someone else they can hear pretty much everything. We used the pool area a lot during our stay as the weather was really nice, the service around the pool was great, some might find it a tad expensive. We didn't find the location to be a problem at all, there are three buses that stop right outside the hotel entrance and these take you near to the main attractions. We managed to do most of the sightseeing in one day leaving us to relax by the hotel pool. We recommend Can Majo restaurant on the sea front (but you prob need to book). We found the restaurants along the Passieg de Joan De Borbo (near the hotel) to be a rip off for the quality of food and service that they offered ( I had an upset tummy on our last day after having a meal in one of the restaurants down that road the night before)

Amazing hotel and service. I was very impressed by this W location. Enjoyed the NYE 2009 celebration - great party! Spa was beautiful.

Fabulous location with sea views in all directions. Spectacular rooms with king size beds arranged to overlook the panoramic windows. The hitel us slightly out of town at the end of a peninsula, but was easily walkable to the centre. The location made for a peaceful neighbourhood, though a short stroll brought us to cafes etc. Room quality was excellent and the hotel felt special. The pool was a little small and outdoors only (not great for late Oct). the seafront was right outside and filled with joggers and cyclists in a non intimidating way. The gym was spacious and well equipped. All in all a special place to visit
