Nice, affordable Vermont hotel!

Pros: Close to destination, good accommodations, pool/hot tub, hot continental breakfast
Cons: Hot tub jets seemed faulty
Location: Barre is a nice little town, close to the capital of Montpelier. It was the perfect location to stay, then travel to Sugarbush Mountain the next day.
I was looking for a place to stay for a snowboarding trip to Sugarbush Mountain. This Quality Inn in Barre, VT was about 45 minutes away, and relatively cheap compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel was right on the Main Street, only a few minutes away from the center of downtown Barre with shoppes and little restaurants. When we got there, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked us in. We were impressed right away by how nice the room looked, including the beds, wall color, and finishings. It looked to have been renovated fairly recently. The bathroom was nice as well, with granite-esque vanity and shower. We got to use the hot tub and pool as well, which was a plus. We were also impressed with the free hot continental breakfast in the morning, which was offered from 6-9 am--perfect for us snowboarders who wanted to get an early start. Would stay here again!

Nice hotel in Barre.

Pros: low cost, free breakfast and spacious room.
Cons: Room large enough for queen beds. Need larger TV screen.
Location: Good restaurants.
Double beds small and flat screen TV was too small.

Thank you for your feedback on your stay with us. We have brand new 32" Flat screen TV's in all of our rooms, which is the standard size Choice Hotels requires us to have. We have over-sized double beds in our rooms, which are suppose to sleep 2 people comfortably. We appreciate your suggestions, and take all guest comments into serious consideration. Ski trip in the area

Pros: It's cleanliness and comfort.
Very nice room, all renovated (furniture and carpet), very comfortable and clean. Hotel staff very welcome and friendly. Breakfast was very good as well.

Great economical place to stay.

Pros: Helpful and friendly staff made us feel welcome and "at home". Central location, and everything we wanted to see or do was near by.
Location: Just out of the downtown core but still very central. We were only a couple of minutes from a dozen exceclent places to eat, plus much to see and do.
I was more than satisfied, the price was right ( for the middle of ski season ), the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm, the bed was very comfortable. The place is far from new but much has been renovated and the washroom worked properly, as did the fridge , Flat screen TV ,coffee maker and microwave. There was ample parking (even if we got back too late to park in front of our room) . The pool and spa were a definite plus, as was the continental breakfast ( excellent make your own waffles). I will definitely go back again.

small local motel, much better than expected

Pros: Affordable motel, clean room, functioning wifi, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast.
I work nearby but a snow storm made me decide not to make the long drive home. Affordable motel, clean room, functioning wifi, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast. what more could I ask for 1 mile from my office? Actually, it turns out they have an indoor pool. Next time I'll put a bathing suit in my overnight bag!

Nice room for the price and GREAT office staff!

Here for hockey tournament. Staff was WONDERFUL and very friendly. Walls thin and doors drafty but updated décor and breakfast was good. Office staff very friendly and helpful and the warm cookie on check in made the long drive not so bad. Would stay here again as the price was a good value and rooms were clean.

Not a quality stay

Shabby room ... It had seen better days. Debris on the rug from a former occupant. Clock was broken. TV did not receive PBS.

We do include PBS in our channel line-up, if you had called the front desk we would have gladly informed you that it is channel 5 on our TV's. If we had been aware that you were not happy with the room, we would have immediately either moved you to another room.
