“OKay for families”

If you're travelling with a family and working to a budget this is a great place to stay. It has a workable kitchen(microwave no oven), it has a seperate bedroom and the apartments are nice. Some windows open all the way. At night i would NOT walk around, this is definitely not a safe area at night but during the day is fine. The tram is only a 2min walk across the parking lot. Two stops (4min max) to a large shopping centre, or if you head the opposite direction you can tram it to the city (15min).Buy the tickets at the tram a family pass (for 3) is around 6eu one way. The coffee in the lobby is beautiful, don't count on the breakfast as its a few muffins, cereal and a coffee. The service is typical French and dont be expecting anything more. WATCH the washers I was absolutely ripped off. Try to avoid them or get the receptionist to do it as they will refuse to give your money back. There is a catch tot he washers - you're not told until after you put your money in and it's lost. For a extremely cheap meal, go to the Shopping centre, the only restaurant out front, is awesome. Has a play area, cheap cheap meals and buffet style.. YUMMY!

“Rude hotel staff and bad location - I'd never go back”

Due to a failure made by the air plane company KLM, I missed my flight to Strasbourg on a Sunday and had to stay at an airport hotel in amsterdam. I called Cerise Strasbourg and explained the situation, and told them I'd be there the next day. But when I showed up by noon on Monday, the hotel clerk told me a) There was no booking with my name and b) They hadn't got my phone call the night before. Eventually, she found my name and booking, but told me there was no room available for me. Since I was very tired after just a few hours sleep in Amsterdam, and since I had to be at the European parliament later that day, I asked her again if there really was no solution, She sighed and said Yes but only on the ground floor. is that very bad? I asked, and she looked at me as if I had insulted her... To sum it up, the hotel lady had a really bad attitude and treated me like I was nothing but trouble. Also, the location was horrible, there's nothing to see and no restaurants in the neighborhood, and it's far away from town. Breakfast's not included in the room fee and WiFi only works in the reception. The room was super cold and the bed was tiny.

“Find a different hotel.”

Rooms might be good for one person, but definitely not two - you cannot pull the trundle bed out without moving all of the furniture. While we paid for two people, the trundle bed was not made up and we had to argue to get a pillow! Rooms are super small. Felt like a youth hostel - not a hotel. Breakfast not worth the 8 Euro. Location is a bit marginal as it is in an industrial area, but only two blocks from tram. No eateries, restaurants or bakeries close to Cerise. Tram system in Strasburg is excellent. We had to stay at this location as other locations had filled up over a holiday weekend. I wish we had stayed at a different hotel, even in a neighboring town. Felt like a youth hostel - not a hotel.
