Nice hotel close to everything

Great hotel to stay! Only bad side is they charge for internet, which is a necessity in today's world! Even small hotels have free internet, so that's the only bad side, nice pool.

Central, beside trams and station.

Cons: Bit dated but really fine. Under beds needed hoovered but in general was good.
Staff gave us maps and helped us to work out where to go. Really easy to get around and plenty to see and do.

Need To Pay In-Room Wifi, What!!!

We were bit worried as some of the reviews gave very low points for this hotel; which we don't agree: the Basel Hilton is more than good enough as rest of the Hilton with typical Swiss services; the room itself is modern and very comfortable; the breakfast is okay for a 4 stars hotel. The Most irritating thing is 'Paid In-Room Wifi' as nowadays very very FEW hotels do; also there is NO slipper provided. Overall we DO recommend this hotel and we may come back.

Luxushotel in Bahnhofsnähe und zur Altstadt

Pros: Der Swimmingpool - warmes Wasser und eine gute Größe
Cons: Der Swimmingpool macht relative spat auf, man sollte ihn auch schon vor dem Frühstück benutzen können
Location: 3 Minuten zum Bahnhof, 10 Minuten zur Innenstadt oder zur St. Alban Vorstadt
Ideales Hotel, super Service, sehr hilfsbereite, aufmerksame und nette Mitarbeiter in allen Bereichen. Toll fand ich das Mobility Ticket, das ich vom Hotel erhielt, und mit dem ich alle öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel kostenlos benutzen konnte.

Convenient for SBB Station

Pleasant hotel

Nice hotel, friendly reception staff, good location in relation to city centre and train station. I would have expected something better than paper cups and no milk for tea in the bedrooms.

Atmosphäre des Frühstückssaales war gruselig - 8-er-Tische, mit anderen Gästen, wie bei einem chinesischen Parteitag. Büffet: mal keine Teller, mal keine Gläser, Kaffee am Tisch erst nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung. Insgesamt für diesen Preis sehr enttäuschend.

Die Hinweise unserer Gäste wissen wir sehr zu schätzen, denn Sie ermöglichen uns, da Verbesserungen vorzunehmen, wo Sie in den Augen unserer Gäste erforderlich sind. Wir bedauern sehr zu lesen, dass Sie mit dem Frühstück in unserem Hilton ganz und gar nicht zufrieden waren und Sie die Atmosphäre gar als “gruselig” bezeichnen. Wir können Ihr Feedback mit den diversen Gruppenaufenthalten der letzten Wochen in Verbindung bringen. Die hohe Anzahl an nächtigenden UND frühstückenden Gästen überstieg bedauerlicherweise die Kapazität in unserem Restaurant. Aufgrunddessen boten wir unseren Gästen das Frühstück zu Höchstzeiten auch in unseren Anlassräumlichkeiten an. Es tut uns sehr leid zu sehen, dass Ihnen die Alternativmöglichkeit ganz und gar nicht zugesagt hat und Sie unser Haus entsprechend enttäuscht verlassen mussten. Ihren Kommentar werden wir selbstverständlich sehr gerne im Management Team aufnehmen und ausführlich besprechen, sodass derartige Unannehmlichkeiten künftig vermieden werden können. Great location, feels a bit dated

Very conveniently located pretty much right next to Basel train station. Décor could do with an upgrade. Rooms do not have individual ironing boards - had to go to a maintenance room next to the elevators to iron my shirt for a meeting. Food at restaurant was fine, but seemed a bit pricey for what it was.
