Christmas stay cation
Our stay was very comfortable, even after having to change rooms. We had to change rooms because there wasn't a bathe tub for our baby to have a bathe, instead there was a shower. I suggested having a few bathe tubs from a local store that could've easily fit in the shower, to stop the inconvenience of having to change rooms. Overall, our stay was very pleasing and we enjoyed the hospitality and catering. The team was good all round. Like a very oiled engine, they all worked really well. BZ

Ups and down of Radisson Blu
Starting with the positives it’s a great location in the centre of Basel and the breakfast is truly exceptional. However, the rooms are very small, bathrooms are especially tiny. The refrigerator didn’t work my entire stay despite asking for a repair. TV didn’t seem to work for English channels- apparently there is something wrong with the satellite. Plenty of other hotels to choose from in Basel.

Nice hotel. Great breakfast. Friendly staff.. We had issues with hot water but although it was inconvenient to change rooms it was resolved promptly.. Close to major eating area. Tram to station from front door.

I really wanted to rate this hotel higher but the two nights we stayed there, the Air-Conditioning was not working properly. Initially, I thought it was just our room, but as I opened the window for air, I noticed a lot of other guests did the same. The hotel is so clean and well maintained, it’s a shame the A/C situation is something beyond the staff’s control. Other than that, we thought the staff was wonderful and a lot of them are multilingual and it was nice that they are able to cater to international guests. Hotel is so convenient to everything is close to Basel’s old town.

Really bad. A hotel that aims to be 4 star and A. Air conditioning not working B. Safe broken C. Curtain broken And when I told the receptionist, the answer was that they had no technician and nobody offered a solution. Not even the management tried to connect to us. Stay way from this place.

Great breakfast, staff friendly, good pool n facilities. Asked for a quiet room and was put next to lift and stairs, so didn’t sleep well. Was told it was a quiet room when checking in, was then advised it was because people were there celebrating so only room. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary- not sure what make some people more special? That said, room was lovely, staff friendly and breakfast good. Great location. Like the hotel doesn’t use single use shampoo bottles.

A short visit to Basel
Never disappointed by Radisson! We were having a premium room, with a nice couch, a super comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, excellent Airco-imagine outside 33 C. Only one day, but it was worth it. Well done -Radisson!

The hotel is well kept. The staff are friendly and professional. You get a Basel Pass which entitles you to free travel on the teams and buses, including the airport bus. The hotel is centrally located and many of the sites are within 15 mins walking distance. There are several eateries on the street that cater for all tastes. Highly recommended.

Breakfast music is just awful. the rest is perfect
Everything was perfect, until we had breakfast. The music is just horrible and agressive - the kind youngsters play by the lake, with percuting heavy basses. or that can be heard in spanish malls. Totally unfit to such a prestigious hotel.

That should not be the case and we have amended some options in settings from our music provider. It is actually a provider especially for hotels with selected moods for certain times. Maybe sth. went wrong here, but we can assure it was not a staff member playing his favorite music. This is fully automatized.
