“Great Location”

Great location, near beach, restaurants, walks. Bubble bath was an excellent way to refresh after a busy day, before strolling out for the evening's entertainment.

“Watch out for the Continental Breakfast”

Overall, the hotel was amazing but the price for the contintental breakfast is very expensive for what you get... 35euros for two people... it consisted of ceral, fruit and bacon... would be a better idea to go to one of the local, yummy bakeries!

“Dog-friendly and perfect!”

Great location, exactly as I had hoped. Free parking, and a beautiful room just a block from the beach. For 8 euros a day, I was able to stay with my large dog-- and not one dirty look from either staff or hotel guest. A beautiful stay in Biarritz.

“a BIG bed and a beach towel....”

This was my second stay at the Grand Tonic, and I certainly hope to have at least a third. The room was spacious, with a king sized bed- unheard of in Europe! There was a large closet, and- one of my pet peeves for a hotel, especially at a beach- a retractable clothes line in the tub/shower for wet swim suits. The staff was very accomodating, bringing us extra pillows, and they supply you with a towel for the beach. The only drawback is that there is no view of the water- you look out onto a city street. But you are really two minutes walk to the public beach area, and not paying twice as much to see the bay out of your window. I'll take that just fine any day. .

“Nice Hotel in Biarritz”

The Tonic Hotel is a smaller "boutique" hotel located about a block from the beach. The staff was friendly and the room was outfitted with modern furniture and crisp linens. We could not see the ocean from our room, as there are tall buildings in-between the hotel and the ocean, but you only need to walk around the corner to be on the boardwalk on the beach. We ate lunch in the restaurant one day and had coffee another. The wait staff was particularly friendly and helpful and the food excellent. We were very happy with our choice of hotels in Biarritz.

although i asked in my resevation to have non- smoking rooms, all 4 rooms were full of smoking smell and the hotel menagment didnot even try to change the rooms or part of them.

“Good location near the beach”

This hotel is only one block from the main beach and within walking distance of the city center. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, which is very convenient as parking in the area was difficult to find. The room was larger than we saw in many other hotels during our trip and internet connectivity was consistently good. Although this is an older hotel, it's location is excellent, it has been well maintained, and we were very comfortable here.

“Great location and excellent staff”

Perfectly situated 3 minutes walk from the beach and town centre, the Tonic is clean, stylish and served by excellent and helpful staff. Good bar and varied breakfast service. Dinner menu looked comprehensive but we ate elsewhere. Rooms are well finished and clean. Only downside was over-hard beds, but would return nonetheless.

“A well located hotel.”

This centrally located hotel is only 2 minutes from the Grand Plage and from the main shopping area. It is quiet amd comfortable. We had a spacious, light room with bath/shower room and separate lavatory. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to make restaurant bookings for us. Breakfast is cheaper in one of the many cafes. Highly recommended.
