“Highly recommend”

Perfect location with lovely sea view from our balcony which,although very cold during our stay,we did utilize and sat out for an aperitif! The management had upgraded our room which was bright and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The luxury toiletries were a nice touch and the product range can be purchased in the hotel shop but are very expensive as are most items in Biarritz. Eating out can cost a fortune but the hotel offers a reasonably priced menu and both the quality and service were very good but the wine again was pricey.Staff were extremely pleasant and reception charming and helpful.

We stayed at the Hotel de l'Ocean for 2 nights and loved it! Location was great - right on the main town square - and had live music both nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable - ask for rooms 3 or 4 if you can - they have balconies overlooking the main square and the ocean. Staff were very friendly.

Fantastic hotel, staff could not be more obliging. Very clean and comfortable, within minutes of the beach and fishermans marina (not smelly, just quaint) Central to the main square with live entertainment. Would certainly recommend !

“Just got better and better”

When we arrived at the hotel (in September), we were so pleasantly surprised to find the hotel is in this great little plaza across the street from the beach. We had just reserved a standard room with a double bed. They must have upgraded us because our room had a balcony overlooking the plaza and ocean. The rooms are darling. We had just booked our stay for one night and we ended up staying three instead, we never wanted it to end. Since it was so last minute we stayed in three different rooms. All very cute. The hotel is very "beach cottage'. A nice change from either the drab european hotels or this overly modern look that is rather cold in my opinion. Everything about the hotel was great (especially the great little marshmallows on the front desk). We can't wait to go back.

“Great place to stay in Biarritz”

I stayed in the Hotel de l'Ocean during a conference in Biarritz. I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying there. It is around a lot of the restaurants and stores and just a quick walk to the beach. Great place to stay!

“Great location”

Hotel has a nice boutique feel to it, the bathrooms are a bit sparse, but bedrooms are clean and light. Word of caution for groups of friends staying, none of our rooms were genuine twin bed rooms. All were doubles with a spare single bed in the corner/to one side.

Cute hotel. Excellent location. Nice rooms but extremely small bathrooms. The staff was kind, and helpful. Great price considering its central location with views to the sea.

“The best location!”

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time was with a friend and this second time I took my partner back there as it was all very sweet. The hotels location could not be better, right in the centre of town with fantastic sea views out across the bay toward the lighthouse. The service on this second visit was a little lacking compared to the first visit but nothing really to complain about. It's not the most up market of places but for its cuteness and it's superb location I would not hesitate in reccommending a stay here.
